ALLEN, Albert "Al" Of Medford, NJ, died Friday, February 3, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. He was 84. Born in Atlantic City, Al was a resident of Medford since 1968. He served in the U.S.

Navy during World War II, serving in both theatres of the war. Al was the former Chief of Taunton Fire Company, No. 252. He was a Life Member of Taunton Fire Maple Shade Rescue Squad and Kettle Run Fire Co. He was a founding member of the Maple Shade Rescue Squad.

As a child, Al worked as a professional dancer. Al was retired from Acme Markets where he worked as an Electrician. Al is the beloved husband of 57 years of Minerva I. (nee Woodworth). He is the father of Patricia Marshall, Linda Wills, Gail Kormann, and Joan (Glenn) Schifferdecker, all of Medford, and Lorraine Allen of Willingboro.

He is the grandfather of Kimberly Glynn, Kristen Marshall, Jennifer, Jeremy and Joshua Wills, James Kormann, Jr, Kristal Moscharis, Emily and Erin Schifferdecker, and late John Marshall. He is the great grandfather of Meagan, Brendan and Kate Glynn. He is the brother of Alberta Conesky of Margate. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, 11 AM, at the LECHNER FUNERAL HOME, 24 N. Pat was the devoted mother of Kimberly Dilks (deceased), Laura Dilks (deceased), Tracy Greenan of Somerdale, and Kathy Burrows and her husband Mike Burrows of Williamstown. She was a loving sister of Ruth London and her husband Fred of West Deptford and Robert Newell Willis and his wife Marianne of Florida. An active member of the Mt. Holly Women's League in past years, she was also a volunteer for the USO in the Philadelphia Airport and for Meals on Wheels. Betts was an avid tennis player, gardener, bridge player, and community volunteer. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Holly.
