In 1999 she was the Auxiliary Volunteer of the Year recipient. She served many years as a Board Trustee and served a term as a Trustee on the WJ Health System Board. Ellen joined several other cancer survivors 21 years ago and founded the Conquer Cancer Committee to the American Cancer Society, Camden County Chapter, whose purpose was to raise funds for cancer research and education.

She was a Reach to Recovery volunteer served as coordinator for Camden County for 10 years of the Reach to Recovery Program. In 1995 she was awarded Louise Lasser Volunteer of the Year award from the State Chapter of the Reach to Cancer Society for her work that program. Ellen was a charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and served on its first music committee and more recently in the Care and Share Shop. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service Saturday 1:00 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Rt. 70, Cherry Hill, NJ.

She was a member of Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church for over 55 years where she was also a member of the Mary-Martha Circle. She was former member of the second Auxiliary to Underwood-Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wynnewood, Pa.

She is survived by her loving husband Russell loving mother of two sons; Jeffrey M. Wagner and his wife Joy of Sewell; Howard (Dick) G. Wagner, Jr. and his wife Sandy of West Deptford; three daughters Charlene and husband Robert Adney of Valpariso, In; Donna and her husband John Leitch of Lansdowne, Pa; and Linda Paul of Mt. Royal, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
