Km SiHrtiy, Hn I. AND FUNERAL NOTICES MRS. ELLIS SWARTZWELDER Mrs. Thelma Leora Swarlzweld- er, 56, secretary at Central YMCA, died yesterday at her home, 7 East First Street, after an illness cf six months. Mrs.

Swartzwelder was on the efficial board of Grace Methodist Church, and belonged to the Cum- berland Business and Profession- al Women's Association and Al- gonquin Chapter, National Sec retaries Association. She was a native of Martins- burg end had resided in Cumber- land for 48 years. Her mother, Mrs. Dora (House- holder) VanMeter, resides at 7 Eost First Street. Her father was the late Henry VanMeter.

Mrs. Swartzwelder's husband, the late Ellis W. Swartzwelder, was killed in a plane crash near here a number of years ago. She was graduated from Alle- gany County High School in the Class of 1923 and from Gather- man's Business School in 1924. The body is at the ScarpelH Fu- neral Home.

Services will be conducted Mon- day at 11 a.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Robert Moales, pastor of Grace Methodist Church. Burial will be in Green Hill Cem- etery, Martinsburg, W.Va. Pallbearers, all members of the board of directors of Central YMCA, will be Earl Nonnenmann, Robert Garner, Robert Moore, Benjamin Haines, Winfield Adam and Robert Williams.

Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. MRS. JOSEPH MINNICK FROSTBURG Mrs. Frances Minnick, 79, widow of Joseph Minnick, died yesterday in Sacred a Hospital, Cumberland, land, where she was admitted Thursday.

Born in Garrett County, a daughter of the late Jacob and Fannie (Chrislner) McKenzie, she was, the last surviving member that family. Mrs. Minnick was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving three sons, 'Marion, Allen and Lawrence Min- nick, all of Frostburg; five daugh- ters, MM.

James Hickman, Ak- ron; Mrs. Harry Hotchkiss, Ridge- Mrs, Raymond Erode and Mrs. Thomas Scarpelli, both of Eckhart, and Mrs. Raymond Wempe, Cumberland, 21 grand- children and 16 great-grandchil- dren. The body will be at the Durst Funeral Home.

RALEY SERVICES HYNDMAN Services for Rev. Charles W. Raley, 76, of Hynd- man, who died Thursday in Me- morial Hospital, Cumberland, will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Evangelical United Brethren Church with Rev. Martin Kauf- man.

Rev. Harry Hull and Rev. J. Howard Smith officiating. Interment will be in Hyndman Cemetery.

ARLEY D. SHERMAN Mn. Ethel Catherine Sherman, of 114 South Johnson Street, died yesterday in Sacred Heart Hospital where she was admitted Wednesday. She had been in fail- ing health for several years. She was born in the daughter of the late Mdvin and Mary Alice (Poling) Godwin.

Besides her husband, Arley D. Sherman, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Chester Rowley, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Gilbert Mark- wood, Cumberland, and Mrs. Ben- ton Filler, Levittown, one sister, Mrs.

Walter Baker, Elkins; four grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. She was a member of First Bap- tist Church. The body is at the George neral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 m. Services i be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev.

Benjamin R. Bruner, pastor of First Bap list Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. JAMES H. TEETS TERRA ALTA, W.

Harrison Teets, 84, of 112 East Washington Avenue, died yester- day in Preston Memorial Hospit- al, Kingwood. A native of Terra Alta, he was a son of the late Jacob F. and Eva K. (Dodge) Teets. Mr.

Teets was a member of Dority Metho- dist Church and Terra Alta Lodge 1395, LOO Moose. Surviving are his widow, Delia (Gooding) Teets; a son Theodore Teets, Swickley, four daugh- ters. Mrs. Asa Sypolt, Terra Alta; Mrs. Edith Gornail, Cumberland; Mrs.

Hazel Arnold, Weston, and Mrs. Irene Kelley, Columbus. Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Fike-Watson Funeral Home where services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev.

Billyreed Wickline. Burial will be in Terra Alta Cemetery. MRS. CHARLES OWENS Mrs. Nora E.

Owens, 83, of 111 North Mulberry Street, died Thursday in Western Maryland State Hospital, Hagerstown, after an illness of three months. Born at Sand Patch, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Mary Baughman. Her husr band, Charles B. Owens, pre- ceded her in death. Mrs.

Owens was a member of the Church of the Brethren, and of the Women's Democratic Club of Washington County. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Irene Batt, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Devoda Pryor, RD 2, Way- nesboro, and a sister. Mrs.

Mayme Deist, Meyersdale, Pa. The body ig at the Rest Haven a Home, Hagerstown, where services will be conducted Monday at 11 a. m. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. MRS.

FRANKLIN BANE ELK GARDEN, W. Va. Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Bane', .83, who formerly, resided at Elk Garden and Gormania, died yesterday at the Oak Rest Nursing Home, Oak- land, where she had been a pa- tient two years. Born near Elk Garden, she was a daughter of the late Charles W.

and Mary V. Endler) Head. Her husband. J. Franklin Bane, died in 19E8.

Mrs. Bane was a mem- ber of Sulphur Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church. Surviving are a brother, Har- man Head, Bayard; five sisters, Miss Hallie Head, Mrs. P. A.

Burch, Piccardy: 26 grandchildren and 50 great- grandchildren. The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home. MRS. RAYMOND KUHNS Mrs. Mildred Kuhns, 62, of 300 Bedford Street, died yesterday in Sacred Heart Hospital where she had been admitted earlier in the day.

Born at Ocean, she was a daughter of Mrs, Hester (Steven- son). Robertson and the late C. A. Robertson. Her husband, Raymond Kuhns, died in 1960.

Surviving are a son, Master Sgl. Raymond S. Kuhns, Cumberland; a brother. Elmer Kuhns, Cumber- Innd: a sister, Mrs. Stella Dubbs, State College, and six grand- children.

The body is at the Kight Funer- al Home where the family will re- ceive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. JACOB W. SHROYER Jacob Waller Shroyer, 81, of 107 Polk Street, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital. Born at Hyndman, he was a son of the late Andrew and Ellen J.

(Beal) Shroyer. His. wife, Mrs. Fannie (Kreitzburg) Shroy- er, preceded him in death. Mr.

$hroyer was a member of Hynd- man Evangelical Untied Brethren Hhurch, the Brotherhood of Loco- motive Firemen and Engineers, and the JOUAM of Johnstown, Pa. Surviving are two sons, Wil- iam T. and Waiter R. Shroyer, roth of this city; a brother, John Shroyer, Hyndman; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth E.

Logsdon, Hynd- nan; three grandchildren whom ic raised, 'Mrs. Billie S. Board- man, Jacob; R. Shroyer and Col- F. Shroyer, and two great- grandchildren.

Surviving, besides her husband and sister, are a son, Willis Knatz, Ambridge; two daughters, Mrs. Steven Betcko, Beaver Falls, and.Mrs. Michael Posi- panko, Baden; two brothers, Ed- ward and John Donaldson, both of Lonaconing; another sister, Mrs.
