DALLAS, Aug. 22. (U.R) Two former Texas governors battle It out today in a run-off election for the Democratic nomination for U. S. Senator.

They are Senator W. Lee O'Daniel and James Allred. Nomination is tantamount to election. O'Daniel and Allred are in the run-off because neither gained a clear-cut majority in the July 25th primary. The singing flour salesman gained 48 per cent and needs only two per cent to carry the run-off, if he holds his former vote.

Allred had 32 per cent of the votes last month. So it's the other 20 per cent that will decide the race the 20 per cent that went to Dan Moody and Floyd Ryan. 10 ORGANIZERS SUE SHOE COMPANY St. Louis. Aug.

Two CIO United Shoe Workers of American organizers have filed suit in. circuit court for $210,000 damages from the Brown Shoe Company for a beating allegedly suffered at Pittsfield, 111., Aug. 10th. The petitioners were John Wiggs and Earl Shinn. They contended they were by a group of employes of the Brown plant at Pittsfield and alleged the workers were acting as agents of the company.

Wlggs claimed $7,500 actual damage and $100,000 punitive damages while Shinn asked $2,500 actual damages and $100,000 punitive damages.
