In the 1952-53 scholastic sports season, Woodbury High pulled off what many consider the greatest team achievement in South Jersey history when Thundering Herd teams won or shared conference championships in every single boys' and girls' sport available at the time. That's a total of seven conference titles four for the boys in the Colonial Conference and three for the girls in the West Jersey Scholastic League along with a bonus of three South Jersey crowns. Woodbury teams combined in all sports for an overall record of 75-13-1.
