He spent many hours as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Literacy Volunteers of America, Probation Dept. of Atlantic City and taught English as a second language. He volunteered at the Glassboro Glass Museum, was a teacher's aid for the Glassboro Public School and many years ago was also a volunteer and Treasurer of Larc School. Mr. Alelyunas was a member of the South Jersey Poet Society and the Gloucester County Art League.

He won 1st place in the Gloucester County Senior Citizens Juried Art Contest in 1994 and 1995. He was the founder of the Delaware Valley Mfg. Co. in Cherry Hill and remained active as a member of the Board of Directors since his retirement from the company in 1987. He enjoyed trav.

1927, the daughter of Dr. Arthur J. Hewett and Lucy Kelley Hewett. Julie was an active member of the parents group at Bishop Eustace south, Regina Collins of Henderson, Nevada, the first lay Principal of the Camden Diocese, died on January 4, 2006 from a long battle with peripheral vascular disease.
