H. THOMPSON, Jeanne (Nee Murray), age 63, of Mullica Hill went to be with her Lord on June 2,2007. She had fought a courageous battle against leukemia. Born in Billingsport, Jeanne was the thirteenth of thirteen children.She was a 1961 graduPitman High School, where she met her lifetime One and Only, Bob. After high school, Jeanne worked at several secretarial and bank teller jobs.

She married Bob in June of 1965. Following the birth of her first child, Jeanne was a homemaker until 1976, at which point she worked first for American Water Works and then for Joseph Oat Incorporated while supporting Bob during his law school education. She was happy to return to full-time homemaking following his graduation, but she continued to work in an unofficial capacity as Bob's at-home typist and Courtroom companion. Jeanne loved to travel, especially to Maui, where she and Bob shared wonderful vacations and made many close friends. She enjoyed knitting and completing jigsaw puzzles with her friends and grandchildren.

Her favorite role was that of wife, mother and MeMe to her beloved six grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her two daughters, Tawdra Kandle (Clint) of Pitman and Robyn Carlisle (Christopher) of Royal; six grandchildren, Devyn, Haley, Catie and David Kandle of Pitman, and Sean and Kaden Carlisle of Mount Royal; lone brother, Charles Murray of Lawrenceville; two sisters, Barbara Johns of Glassboro and Helen Leach of Pitman; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Thompson, by her parents, Robert and Martha (Bowles) Murray, by her brothers, Robert Murray Jr. and Joseph Murray; and by her sisters, Elizabeth Murray, Catherine Jones and Margaret Queen. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 9 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Pitman.

The family will receive visitors there from 10 to 11 AM.
