The Flyers' defense-men are gambling less, cutting back on turnovers and leaving much of the puck movement to the forwards. "Less is better," Murray said of his defense, which includes rookies Chris Therien and Karl Dykhuis.

"They're not trying to do too much with the puck. The speed we're getting in the neutral zone all starts in our zone." CUppara Flyers acquire Semenov The Flyers added more depth to the forward position Wednesday when they acquired 33-year-old center Anatoli Semenov from the Mighty Ducks in exchange for minor-league defenseman Mi-los Holan.

Semenov, a 6-2, 190-pound native of Moscow, had three goals and four assists in 15 games with Anaheim this season. He is in his fifth season in the NHL after playing 11 seasons with Dynamo Moscow of the Soviet League. Semenov's best season in the NHL came in 1992-93 when he recorded 10 goals and 34 assists in 76 games for Tampa Bay and Vancouver. Holan, 23, recorded 22 goals and 27 assists in 55 games with the Hershey Bears this season. But when it became apparent to him that he was not in the Flyers' plans, he exercised his option and left the Bears on Sunday.
