The food was fabulous. But JMorhauser hungered for dishes. rowls.

Relish trays. Today, she is the creator of the way her baguette bowl hugs the bread, the precise edge of her butterdish. Morhauser's bread and butter is her Roman Antique dinnerware, which features a thick, hand-painted band of 24-karat gold on clear, textured glass. Prices range from $38 for a 7-inch dessert plate to $220 for a large serving bowl. And yes, it's dishwasher safe.

Her budding interest in art was nurtured at Transfiguration School in Collingswood, and later at Paul VI High School in Haddon Twp. "I learned discipline at Catholic school," Morhauser says. "Discipline is important in art." As serious as Morhauser is about her work, her wares have a decidedly whimsical edge. There are jewel-toned platters in the shape of Fish and delicately scalloped bowls edged with platinum.

Schwinn understands that $3,000 is more than most of us care to spend on a bicycle, so the manufacturer has introduced a similar but less expensive model called the Cruiser Deluxe. For more information on Schwinn products, call 800-SCHWINN. If you are looking for a model that replicates the low-riders of yesteryear, be sure to check out GT Bicycles' Dyno Roadster Ltd. This model features a low-rider frame; a heavy duty, shock-absorbing springer fork; oversized balloon fenders; whitewajl tires; and rims with chrome-plated 10-gauge spokes. The Dyno Roadster is currently available and retails for $490.

GT Bicycles also offers the Harley-Davidson Limited Edition one retro-style model that will definitely turn heads. It features a '50s-style chain guard and chrome accents along with thick fenders and a horn tank. Although it looks old, it includes a modern, quick-shifting, seven-speed internal drive train and custom suspension fork. You'll have to act fast if you want a Harley-Davidson Limited Edition. There are only 1,000, and each numbered bike comes with a letter of authenticity.

Retailing for $2,300, it's a cool bike for those with bucks to spare. For more information on GT Bicycles, call 714-513-7159. Those on a budget who want the style of the past combined with the-comforts of the present will surely want to check out Huffy's Causeway. This model combines classic looks with a state-of-the-art six-speed shifting system. The bike sports an I 1 i i )i' old-style frame and seat and rides on 26-inch chrome rims with whitewall tires.
