He is commanding officer War Spectacle Ticket Data Told Special telephones have been installed- at Army -Navy War Show headquarters to answer inquiries regarding tickets to "Eastbay Attacks," the buge battle action spectacle to be presented at Berkeley Memorial Stadium December 8, 9 and 10. All information about free tickets to. the show can be' obtained by phoning GL encourt 5976 or GLencourt 6050. Distribution of the free tickets will begin late this week. Officials stated that the huge battle will stand as a tribute from the Army and Navy to the war workers of the Bay area, for outstanding productive effort.

Theme of the show will be "Well. Done. Eastbay-Stay On the Job and finish the and highlight of the event will be the realistic battle action. The entire field at the Berkeley Stadium will be transformed into a South Pacific jungle setting, over which hundreds of combat-trained troops will advance in a realistic assault an enemy strong-point. The show will be staged by the Ninth Service Command in' co eration with the Twelfth Naval District.

It is sponsored by the LaborManagement Committee of the War Manpower Commission of Northern California. B-24 Pilot Home For. Yule, Won Honor Lieut. Lou K. Newfield 22, is home for Christmas. veteran of combat enemy territory, Lieutenant Newfield, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Newfield, 432 Michigan Avenue, said yesterday that about all he has thought of the past few months was finishing his missions and getting home for Christmas. Newfield, a graduate of Berkeley High School and former student at the San Francisco Junior College, enlisted in the A.A.F. in July, 1942, was commissioned in December, 1943, at Marfa, Texas. He went overseas seven-and-ahalf months ago and in that time, stationed with the 15th A.A.F.

in Italy, and Africa, has earned the Air. Medal and four Oak Leaf Clusters for piloting B-24's on 50 missions. He will remain- in Oakland for 21 before reporting for further assignment. At same time it was revealed that the executive committee Republican State Central Committee is also considering ways and means correcting weaknesses in the election. code and plans to confer with legislators on the problem.
