Like her advertising salesman husband, she drives a small Toyota. "Sometimes that can take 45 minutes right there." LIKE THE picture on an old black-and-white TV set, big families seem to be fading. She is referring to one of the many friends her eldest child, Andrew, 22, has brought home with him on visits. Andrew, who majored in physics at Lehigh University, is thinking about studying Russian in graduate school and is living in Pittsburgh.

The eldest daughter, Stephanie, 20, is a sophomore at Catholic University of America, majoring in music. Loza says the other kids really miss having big brother and sister around in a household where the-more-the-merrier slogan really does hold true.
