Whereas, on the first day of August 1911, there was received by me and filed in my ofllce a written authorization under the hand and seal of the Controller of the Stntc of California, which authorization was and is in words and figures following; of NOTICE INVITING STREET WOBK PROPOSALS Series 1911, No. 4. I'ursuant to the "Improvement Act of 1911" and to a Resolution (Series 1911 No. 4) adopted August 7, the Hoard of Trustees of the Town of Ukiah County of Mendocino, State of California, ordering the work and directing this notice, the undersigned invites and will receive at his office in the City Hull on the southeast corner of School and Church streets in said town up to 7:30 o'clock P. M.

on Monday, August 21, 1911, sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work in accordance with plans and specifications therefor adopted July 10, 1911, posted and on file, to-wit: That the roadway of State street in said Town from the North line of Stephenson street to the north line of Seminary Avenue extended easterly, including all intervening intersections, be graded to the official grade; that concrete curbs be constructed along both lines of said roadway, except where curbs are already done to the official grade; that said roadway between said gutters be paved with an asphalt pavement, consisting of an asphaltic concrete base inches thick and an asphalt wearing surface 1 inch thick; that a concrete bridge be constructed across said gutter at each corner formed by the intersection with said State street of Stephenson and Clay streets; that culvert.s with a concrete base and corrugated American Ingot Iron tops be constructed along each side of the said roadway of State street across the intersections of Stephenson and Clay Street (-1 in all) all of sai( work to be done to the official grade and in accordance with Plana and Specifications therefor, adopted by the said Board of Trustees July 10, 1911, and now posted and on file. The said Board of Trustees has determined and declared that seria bonds bearing interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum and extend ing over a period of nine years from the second day of January next succeeding their date, shall be issued in the manner and form provided in the "Improvement Act of 1911, to respresent assessments of twenty- five dollars, or over, for the cost of said street work. To the Collector of the County of Mendocino, State of California: Whereas, on October 17, 1910, there was filed and recorded in the Controller's Office of the State of California, certain deeds conveying to the people of the State of California the title to those certain lots and parcels of land hereinafter described; And, Whereas, said deeds recite the fact that said property hereinafter described was struck off and sold to the people of the State of California for the non-payment of State and County taxes, penalties, and costs, and all charges levied and assessed against said property for the year 1904. And, Whereas five years have elapsed since the date of said sale, and no redemption, according to law, has been made of said property, or any part thereof; Now, Therefore, in pursuance of the law, and in accordance with the provisons of Section ,1897, Political Code, as amended Iviarch J9, 1907, A.
