Small returned Wed. nesday from Chicago where she had been called by the severe illness of her brother-in-law. Mr. Draper. His friends will be glad to know that Mr.

Draper shows some improvement. Webster Strong and friend Delbert Craig of Stanhope spent the Thanksgiving vacation here with Webster's parents, Rev. and Mrs. Strong. Hazel Leupold who Is a student at Ames, spent her Thanksgiving vacation with home folks.

Hattie Meikle spent Satur. day night with her daughter Mrs Garling at Rossle. Sunday she accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Garling to Sioux Falls where they spent the day with Mrs.

Minnie Wood and Mrs. Fern Weaver. The Will Moore family of Terril were Sunday visitors in the Walter Hasbrook home. A. C.

Bringle and Mrs. McMullen drove to Lake Park Friday where Mrs. McMullen will spend a few days with friends. Mrs. Mary Harris is spending a few days with her daughter Mrs.

Rob Withers near Jackson. Mrs. Wade and Joe Prochasku entertained Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leupold and the Irving Clark fanv ily at a wild goose dinner Friday evening.

A number of the local fishermen are enjoying fishing through the ice of Spirit Lake. Several have caught their limit in a few hours of fishing. The catches are mainly perch with an occasional pike. The Itichland township Farm Bureau members will hold meeting in the Wayne Small-home the night of Dec. 8.

A special feature of the program will be a short plav. "Qifandpa Joins the Farm Club." Ladies Aid bazaar and supper on Dec. 3rd. Next regular meeting will be Dec. 8th.

and Mrs. George Davis in Estherville. An unusual view of the Wright Memorial at Kitty Hawk N. unveiled this month to commemorate the spot where Wilbur and Orville Wright gave wings to man in 1903. The monument is a magnificent triangular granite shaft, topped by an airway beacon, standing 60 feet high upon a hill of sand 90 feet high.

The architects were Alfred liaston Poor and Robert Perry Rodgcrs. The memorial was authorized by Congress. Mrs. Vernie Brown will entertain the Ryan Lake Country club members at her home, Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 30th.
