1846. I have examined this amendment to Last Rites Held For Mrs; Eva Truly Power Widow of Former Secretary of State Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Truly Power, 78, were held here Wednesday from the Wright and Ferguson Funeral home, with the Rev. Jones S. Hamilton, pastor of the Church of the Nativity at Greenwood, and a close personal friend of the family, officiating.

Mrs. Power died in the Greenwood Leflore hospital following an illness of several months. She was the widow of the late Joseph Withers Power, of Jackson, for 25 years secretary of state of Mississippi, succeeding his father in this position. Mrs. Power, member of the distinguished Truly family, of Scmth Mississippi, was a native of Fayette.

She made her home in Jackson for many years and until her husband's death in 1928 led an active social and church life. While she had continued to make her home here following his death, she had for the last several years made her home back in Fayette with the late Judge Jeff Truly, her brother. In September of last year she had gone to Greenwood to make her home with her daughter. Mrs. J.

L. Seawright. Mrs. Power was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal church here.

She was educated In the East. -In addition to Mrs. Seawright she Iff survived by another daughter, Mrs. B. B.

Graves, 805 Euclid avenue, Jackson, one brother, Numa Truly, of Houston, Texas, and six grandchildren: Pallbearers at the last rites were: Leigh Watkins, W. G. Wills, Orrin Swayze, Arthur Muh, R. H. Graves, all of Jackson, and Everett Truly.
