"I ONLY DO one or two films a year, so I don't overexpose myself," she explains. Her latest, made two years ago but released this year Desiree Cousteau," is another hit. "And I have complete control over what films I make. I read hundreds of scripts and I only do the ones I think are really good -usually ones with big budgets.

But most of the scripts get made by someone."
