The town showed receipts of 144,642.05 and "expenditures of 122,307.71, leaving a balance of 22,334.34.

The balance'was over 12.000 greater than last year. Receipts included $44,192.75 from axes, $41,364.42 from general ems, $37,949.72 from the Water Department and $10,309.19 from he Police Department. There was balance on hand at the be- inning of the year of $10,825.97. Expenditures included $37,670.72 or the Street Department, 61.12 for the Water Department, 14,361.42 for the Police Deparl- nent and $25,708.45 for general xpenses. Both the Water Depart- ment and Police Department ex enditures- exceeded receipts.

Among the expenditures was 12,256.67 for capital outlay in le Water Department and $1,605 or payment on the water farm nd interest. Capital outlaj in the 'olice Department amounted to 1,487.02 with $986.10 for police quipment and $525.75 for traffic ights. It'took $692.66 to purchase 'asoline for the police car, anc 10,124.95 for the three police. Garbage removal cost $3,596.63 nd $600 for care the city ump.
