Lizzie Mae Luckett HeadStart teacher CANTON Lizzie Mae Luckett, 56, a HeadStart teacher, died of cancer Sunday at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Services are 1 1 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Camden with burial in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

Family Memorial Funeral Services is handling arrangements. Mrs. Luckett was a Madison County native. She attended Velma Jackson High School. At age 8, she became a member of Pilgrim B.

Church. While there, she sang in the church choir. Later, she moved her membership to New True Light B. Church, where she was a Sunday school secretary and choif member. At the time of her death, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include; husband, Mozel; sons, Walter Luckett, Moses Melvin Luckett, Larry Luckett, Jerome Luckett, John Luckett and Robert Luckett, hometown unavailable; daughters, Shirley Luckett, Patricia Luckett, Pearlene Brooks and Sandra Luckett, hometowns unvailable sister, Rosie Torrence of Sharon; brothers, Lenny Scott and Walter James Scott, both of Lansing, and Roger Lee Scott of Camden; father, Walter C. Scott of Canton; and 25 grandchildren. Anse Moore retired baseball player PEARL Anse Moore, 76, a retired major league baseball player and fabric store owner, died of cancer Friday at his home. Services 2 p.m. Sunday at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in the Mayton community near Puckett.

Visitation is 11 a -2 m. and 5 8 m. today and noon 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr Moore, a Delhi, native, lived the last 50 years in Mississippi, including 33 in Pearl.

He was an outfielder for the Detroit Tigers in 1946, when he appeared 51 games and batted 209 He also played in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He was a World War II Army veteran. He owned Moore's Fabrics in Pearl for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pearl. Survivors include: wife, Faye; son, Anse Kevin Moore of Peart; daughter, Patricia Ann Baker of Pearl; brother, Grayson Moore of Jackson; sisters, Irene Ho-semann of Hattiesburg, Oretus Hampson of Shreveport, La Alene May ol DeRid-der, and Christine Meischke of Gonzales, and one grandchild Robert P.

Taylor Jackson resident Robert Percy Taylor, 57, of Marine Street, died of a stroke Monday at a Peart Street home. Services are 1 1 a today at Black's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Garden Memorial Park. Cook's Funeral Home is handling arrangements Mr. Taylor, a Learned native, moved to Jackson when he was young. Survivors include: wife, Nellie Marie; sons, James Taylor, Robert Taylor Jr Earl Taylor and John Taylor, all of Jackson; daughters, Angela Lover, Maggie Quit, Wanda Taylor and Tanya Taylor ell of Jackson, brothers, Fred Taylor, Ned Taylor and Joe Taylor, all of Jackson; sisters.

Hazel Harris and Mae Ethel Sirs, both of Jackson, and eight grandchildren. Everett of Meridian, Toby M. Everett ol Franklin, and Jim Everett of Yazoo City; daughter, Gayle Snowden of Tupelo; sister, Peggy Walker of Pascagoula; half brother, Danny Frazier of San Antonio; half sisters, Virgie Franklin of Houston, Texas, and Sue Vandiver and Nan Sullivan, both of Canton; and nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Foreign Missions of a Southern Baptist Church. Ruth Kastelich retired seamstress RIDGELAND Ruth Kastelich, 73, a retired seamstress, died of cancer Friday at River Oaks Hospital.

Services are 5 p.m. Sunday at Wright Ferguson Funeral Home with burial in the Williams family cemetery near Goodman. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 1 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Kastelich, a Neshoba County native, had lived in Ridgeland 45 years. She was a member ol First Methodist Church of Ridgeland and attended the First Baptist Church of Ridgeland. She retired as a seamstress with McRae's department stores after 33 years. She was the widow of Grady L.

Williams. Survivors include: husband, Louis; sons, Danny Oda Williams of Goodman and Michael Ray Williams of Ridgeland; brother, Perry E. Brown Jr. of Jackson; sisters, Mildred Banks of Jackson, Celes-tia Watkins of Carthage and Carol Bone of Star; and five grandchildren, two step- MISSISSIPPI REPORT From Staff and Wire Reports 2 charged in armed robbery Two people have been charged in the Sunday armed robbery of Barb and Gene's Grocery near New Albany. Woman testifies about assault A Pascagoula woman testified Thursday that three young men sexually assaulted her at gunpoint. Sept. 19 after she refused their oiler to have sex for $15. The woman, said they forced her to their apartment County Court Larry Wilson sent the case to the grand jury. Defendants Chad -Johnson, 17, Todd Allen Johnson, and James Warren, 22, each face sexual battery, kidnapping and aggravated assault charges.

The Johnsons' father is Allen Johnson, Gautier's public safety director. Police study fatal fall from tree Police are investigating the death of a man who fell 40 feet from a pine tree apparently while trying to persuade a tree service employer to give him a job. Officers have not identified the man. Sid Kibby of A-l Tree Service said he was working at Anchor Trailer Park on Tuesday when the man asked for a job. When he asked what the man could do, the man grablxKl a tree harness and started climbing.
