Mr. Bulger was employed by the New York, New Haven and Hartford, R. R. Company as a conductor. Bulger left this community in 1892 and returned to marry Miss Margaret Clinton a member of one pioneer families of the Plains section.

He is survived by his wife and several children. James Marley of East End brother-in-law and Mrs. Jos. Abend of Newport street, Ashley have gone MINERS PAY TRIBUTE TO THEIR DEAD Mine workers this afternoon paid a tribute to their three comrades who lost their lives explosion the Truesdale colliery of the Glen Alden Coal Company Tuesday night. The three victims, Alex McCuish, Stuart and Pirol Collins were burled from the a a a a home of Thomas Mullen, 83 South Main street, Ashley.

Rev. Robert Graham, pastor of the Ashley Presbyterian church, and Rev. C. E. Holmer, pastor of the Swedish Lutheran church were the officiating clergymen.

McCuish and Stuart were Scotch while Collins was a Norwegian. They have no relatives the United States as far as is known. Mine workers acted as pall bearers for the three men, special delegations being sent from mines. Interment was in the Ashley cemetery. Investigators have been unable to determine what was responsible for the lighting of the gas which caused the explosion.

Officials learned in their investigation that a fourth man, who was supposed to be ing with the three who were killed, owes his life to the fact that he went to another section to re-rail mine cars. PLAN TO INCREASE YIELD OF POTATOES To increase the yield of potatoes in Luzerne county, Its sixteen potato spraying associations will be reorganIzed under the direction of James Hutchison, representative of the Luzerne County Agricultural Extension Association. The preliminary work has already been started. As a result of the activities of these associations last year, the yield WAS the largest in the county's history. It 1s believed that the increase was due entirely to the spraying operations and the better selection of seed that had been recommended.

Myers, a contractor of West Hazleton against Maciej Cag and others, a claim for labor and material in the erection of a house defendants, the jury today returned a verdict for the pla'ntiff for the full amount, with Interest, a total of $1,540.61.
