They lived in Chicago until the early '60s, when they moved to Wadsworth. Henry preceded her in death on May 7, 1983. Jean resided in Wadsworth for more than 45 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, as well as St.

Patrick's Shamrock Club. She recently moved to Lindenhurst. She was a supporter of the Lakes girl's high school basketball team and was considered by many to be its No. 1 fan. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her unique sense of humor, positive energy, and overwhelming kindness.

She was strong and courageous throughout her life and was truly the strength of our family. She will live in our hearts forever. Jean was the beloved mother of Sharon (Darren) O'Brien, John (Risa) Sapyta, Mary (Scott) Smith, and Joseph (Tiffany) Sapyta; devoted grandmother to Jennifer (Shane) Holmes, Megan and Allison O'Brien, Cecilia, Julia, and Samuel Sapyta, Amanda and Sara Jean Smith; dear sister of Toni (Les) Burke, Marilyn (Ed) Antognoli; loving aunt of James (Dena) Burke, Anthony (Robin) Antognoli, Thomas Antognoli, and their respective families; fond cousin and a good friend. Her sister, Rose Marie Fanelli, preceded her in death. Friends of the family visited May 2 at Strang Funeral Chapel Crematorium in Grayslake.

Garepis, 76, of Lake Villa, died at her home surrounded by her family April 30. She was born May 6, 1933, in Chicago, the daughter of the late Eleanor and John Ignoffo. She was a resident of Lake Villa since 1978, moving there from Chicago. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother. Her family was her life.

She is survived by her children, Chris Garepis, Laura (Tim) Clark, John (Debbie) Coyne, Tim Coyne, Tina (Kurt) Schumacher, and Victoria (Michael) Lucaccioni; her grandchildren, Nicki Clark, Matthew Coyne, Jason Coyne, John Coyne, Nicholas Schumacher, Catherine Lucaccioni, John Lucaccioni and Isabella Lucaccioni; and her sister, Victoria (Greg) Snodie. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Coyne; and by her second husband, Nicholas Garepis. He was born on Nov.

22, 1934, in Benjamin, Texas, to the now late Jess and Effie Jackson nee Edge. Red retired from the U.S. Navy as chief petty officer after 23 years of dedicated service. Later, as a civilian, he retired from Z.F. Industries in Lincolnshire after 15 years of employment.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 1170 in Round Lake.
