"We have had the pleasure of watching Isaiah and Emma grow as a performers for several years," Schippits said in the release. "After watching more than 100 people audition, we knew they were perfect for these roles. Isaiah brings a tremendous spirit and energy to the part of Peter Pan, while Emma has a natural charm that makes her ideal to play Wendy." Playing the villain in the show, Captain Hook, is another local theater veteran, Jeff Little, of Waterman. "Jeff has that priceless ability to create the sort of character that audiences love to hate," Schippits said in the release.

The family classic will be presented over two weekends, March 13-15 and March 20-22 at the historic Egyptian Theatre in downtown DeKalb.

The show will tell the classic story of Peter Pan, a boy who can fly and never grows up and spends his never-ending childhood leading his band of Lost Boys through adventures on the small island of Neverland, where they battle pirates and Indians. Pan brings Wendy Darling and her brothers, John and Michael to join him in Neverland, where Wendy becomes "mother" to the Lost Boys, entangling herself and her brothers in the battles against the evil Captain Hook. The show features classic songs like "I'm Flying," BLACK Continued from page CI Poulisse: What do you make of what recently happened at the satirical magazine in France? Black: I have a little statue of Edvard Munch's silent scream. That's what I felt. I was basically screaming and nothing came out.

"We have a custom-made set that is being brought in from Seattle, Washington; we will be teaming up with the world-class flying effects team at Hall and Associates who will provide the pixie dust to get Peter and his friends airborne; and we have one of the largest and most talented casts that we have had in years." Assisting Schippits are assistant director Susan Graham, choreographer Samantha Gall and music directors Chris Hagendorn and Jeannette Mingus. Headlining that cast are pair of local actors who Please.

It's dealing with insane people. They're nuts. It has nothing to do with religion, and I'm tired of them calling it radical Islam. Islam is not part of it. Poulisse: You sound riled up.

Black: I've been building toward it for two days. It's been a build-up. Poulisse: What's your personal line of too much? Black: I try not to, unless it's really funny, be misogynistic or homophobic or xenophobic. Certain topics are sensitive, like gun violence and abortion.
