The flour will be manufactured at the Anderson grist mm at La frame, special machinery for the purpose being installed.

Before being ground the rice mnst go through a roasting or drying process and this is done near where the grain is harvested. A machine devised and Iiuilt fur this purpose by Mr. Vance is capable, or roasting 1.200 pounds in six minutes. As far as known this is tho first time attempt has been made to manufacture flour from wild rice. The raw material is plentiful and practically the only cost will be the gathering ami KJiuiuug, no seeding or bou preparation being necessary.
