Strabcl, board of education secre-ary, handed in his resignation Monday night after 16 years on he board. Joseph MacAllister, board president, said that Strabcl will be retained as consultant at $350 a year. Harold B.

Cooper was appointed the new board secretary at $6,500 a year, effective July 1. Seven teachers were hired. According to MacAllister, five teachers have resigned. In other business, the board awarded $5,555 to the Camden Motor Truck for a new school bus. The board also purchased 20 tables and 200 chairs for the cafeteria from the Equipment and Furniture of Conshohocken, at $5,350, and a language lab from the Thompson, Ramo and Woodridge of Philadelphia, for $2,000.
