I have to cut off the edges to make it fit into those glass windows put into wallets. My gripe is this: Let the makers of wallets and the printers get together on sizes and have one standard size so the darn things fit each other securely and fully, without alteration. Tim G. Dear Timgee: You're a boy after our own heart! Why don't you send this suggestion to the Printers Union or to one of the many magazines in the trade? We say the printers and not 1 i Golta Gripe? Choice: Subjects ranging from sending back large appliances to sending someone to the electric chair are bugging our readers today. And, again, the gripes are from men! Don't you women have anything to say? Cat got your tongues? So to the men God love 'em! Dear Gotta Gripe: Shouldn't repair stations for large appliances be in every major city, even though the manufacturer is across the country? I received an expensive, quite large tape recorder for Christmas.

It now is in need of repair. The manufacturer is in another state half the country away. The warranty says to get full benefit, it must be repaired at the plant or sent to a list of their repair stations. Each station is almost as far away as the company. I have to crate this, lug it to the post office, pay freight and hope it isn't damaged on the way.

But if I get it repaired nearby or call a man to the house, I lose the warranty. Tony With A Temper Dear Tony With: It's your nickel, boy, take it or lose it. We advocate hitting 'em in their pockets the next time. Of course, with a Christmas gift this can't be done. But, all of you out there! When buying an appliance read the warranty BEFORE you sign the chit.

If repair service is too far away, turn the thing down and tell the store WHY. When enough stores yell something will be done. Dear Gotta Gripe: I have been reading with interest the need of stiffer punishment for sex offenders and I am for good long non-parole terms. But I don't think death unless death has occurred to the victim-should be the answer. What do you think aliout the death sentence for rape? Whether or not the death penalty is the answer or not we cannot say.

Personally we feel the word MANDATORY is what is needed in any sentence the authorities finally make into law for rape or attempted rape. With that word in the law, soft judges, do-gooders and smart counselors find it hard going, if not impossible, to sidetrack. We think the offender's freedom should be taken away from him FOR LIFE and with the law so worded that parole is impossible. If you have ever looked into the blank eyes of a rape victim or watched the fright of a little girl as a small finger pointed to an attackeryou would feel that death is too easy.
