She was a retired secretary of 19 years with the Jefferson Count Board of Education, a member of Fairdale Christian Church, Fairdale OES 172, and a lifetime member of the Parent Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L.

KORB, CARL E. JR. 75, Louisville, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at Baptist Hospital East. He was a retired employee of Commercial Lithographing Company, a former employee of Market, a marine veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. Evangelical United Church of Christ.

He was proceded in death by his parents Karl Sr. and Mae Korb; sisters, Mildred Seay, and Aleen Wallace. He is survived by his nieces, Caroline Jackson (Jerry), Sharon Wallace, and Carol Sue A guila Turner; and several great-nieces and nephews. Visitation ill be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday. LANIER, PHILIP McCART 79 Louisville, died Monday at Baptist East Hospital. He was born March 1, 1926, in Danville, KY, son of the late Addison and Doris McCart Lanier. He was an attorne and retired as executive vice president CSX Corporation, and he served in the U.S.

Navy during World War II. Mr. Lanier is a member of Christ Church Cathedral and served the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky as Chancellor. He is a graduate of the Hill School, Pottstown, PA, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, and the Washington and Lee Universit Law School, Lexington, A. He was the former Chairman of the Board of the Metro United Way, the former Board Chairman of St.

Francis School and was twice president of the Louisville Orchestra Board. He also served as board member emeritus, and a founding member the Prichard Committee and a former member of the board of Regents of Murray State University, Murray, KY. He is survived by his ife, Margaret Glore Lanier, Louis- ille; a son, Philip Scott Lanier of Louisville; and a daughter, Sarah Lanier Zoerb (Eric) Houston, TX; three nephews, Addison and John Lanier of Cincinnati, and Mark Lanier of Boston; a niece, Melissa Lanier Murphy Cincinnati, and their children. Born in Louisville, he moved to Clearwater in 1977. He was a retired of a tavern and an Arm eteran of World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts.

He was a member of American Legion Post 273 of Madeira Beach, FL, DA (Florida) Chapter 13, Men's Golf Association and St. Jerome Catholic Church in Largo. He as also an honorar Kentucky Colonel. He is survived ife, Ann daughters, Barbara Borie (Walker) and Jean Mulrooney (Jim), both of Louisville; son, Thomas J. of Cincinnati, OH; stepsons, Pat Egan of Illinois, Mike Egan of Louisville, and John Egan of Florida; brothers, William James and Robert all of Louisville, and Kenneth E.

He was a retired chemical engineer for the Dow Chemical Company, a carpenter for Chico's and an Army veteran. Mr. Peterson had a residence in Louisville and a residence in Ft. Myers, FL. He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Peterson and Debra Mitchell; a son, Andrew brother, Leroy Jones; three grandchildren, Sean Peterson, Bruce Mitchell and Erin Bertholf; and two great-grandchildren, Zackary and Mikaela Bertholf.
