He suffered injuries to his legs and hips. A spokesman at Middlesex Hospital said his con dition was satisfactory. Ford, teamed with Diane Towler, won the title for ice dancing for the second successive year at the World Figure Skating Championships at Vienna last March.

BOSTON (AP) George Scott capped a four-run eighth inning with a two-run homer in the opener and Darrell Brandon posted his first victory in the nighkiap Sunday, leading Boston to a doubleheader sweep over the Cleveland Indians 4-3 and 6-2. Held to three hits for seven innings in the first game, the Red Sox finally caught up with Cleveland's Sonny Siebcrt and rallied to pull out the decision. Singles by Dalton Jones and Jose Tartabull, a fielder's choice and Carl Yastrzemski's triple accounted for two runs. Scott then belted his third homer, a towering shot into the bleachers behind the bullpen in right center. Brandon, who lost four straight decisions, was in command after a shaky third inning whrn he served a two-run homer to Sam McDowell, the Cleveland pitcher.

Brandon scatlrrrd four singles only the last six innings, He struck out four and didn't issue a walk. The Red Sox picked up a run off McDowell on consecutive dnubl es by Rice Petroceli Joe Foy in the second. They added two in the fourth, another on Petrocelll's second double in the sixth and then nailed down MISSISSIPPI TOWER.
