Ted F. Bowlds of Jackson, was one of some 120 Civil Air Patrol (CAP) cadets from across the nation who attended a CAP cadet symposium here. Bowlds, a member of the Golden Triangle Squadron of Civil Air Patrol, joined the other cadets and officials from CAP national headquarters at Maxwell AFB, in discussions which studied possible improvements in the CAP cadet program. The cadet program offers CAP cadets, ages 13 through 18, a better understanding of the aerospace age through special study and programs, summer courses, and opportunities for travel. Recommendations developed at the symposium will be studied at CAP national head-quarters for possible incorporation into the program.
