T. autumn ba given tomorrow afternoon from 2:30 to 5 o'clock at the residence of Mrs. K. P. Marsh on Seminary street.

The ladies have been busy the past two days completing arrangements for the autumn tea. Tho refreshments to he served during the afternoon will consist of chicken salad, salted crackers, oatmeal cakes and coffee. Music of various kinds will be furnished throughout the afternoon. The W. c.

Chief Cleric Whitlow of the Alton State Hospital resigned his plare with the state at this Institution and resignation took effect last night.
