The Karen Mouchett of Jackson, Sammie Ernest Mouchett McGee-Mouchett Vows Said In Pocahontas Church Rites Pocahontas Baptist church nations with white streamers was the setting for the recent wedding of Miss Rita Karen Mouchett of Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sammie Ernest Mouchett of Anguilla, to Larry McGee of Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard McGee of Bogue Chitto.

The Rev. William Watkins, pastor of Methodist church of Newton, performed the ceremony before a background of candelabra decorated with palm leaves. Baskets of peach gladioli with white carnations and baskets of palm leaves completed the setting. Candle giris were Miss Janice Virden and Miss Debbie Mouchett. Music was provided by Miss Pam Mouchett, organist, and Msis Kathy Mouchett, vocalist, both sisters of the bride.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white floor-length satin dress overlaid with white bridal illusion featuring lace sleeves. Lace appliques decorated the hemline of the dress. The bride's veil of white illusion with hand appliques of lace flowers rs formed a train. She carried a bouquet of white car- F. J.

Lossetts Mark Golden Wedding Day Mr. and Mrs. Francis James Lossett were honored recently with a reception in their home on their golden wedding anniversary given by their children: Mrs. James Lossett, Mr. and Mrs.

John Lowry, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jones, all of Jackson; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dickson of Gallman, and Mr.

and Mrs. Joe Lossett of Florence. The golden wedding theme was emphasized with arrangements of gold and white. The tea table, covered by a white lace cloth, was centered by a silver epergne candelabra holding white iris stock and white tapers. On one end of the table was is placed the cake topped by a miniature bridal couple and the crystal punch bowl at the other end.

Alfred Jr. of Hazlehurst will be joined by Mrs. Alfred's daughter, Mrs. William Salmon of Clarksdale, in Greenville for the bridge tournament this weekend. Hazel Klaas will leave Mar.

18 to attend a school in New Orleans and return Mar. 23. MORE NEWS Charles Wood became general manager of the Country Club of John Riordan. The Riordans Jackson Mar. 1, succeeding have moved to Bella Vista, Ark.

The Woods live at 1241 Springdale Drive, Mrs. F. B. Lee has sold her home on Leavell Woods Drive and moved to the Camelot Apartments on Robinson Road Feb. 22.

Mr. and Mrs. John B. Runnels and children, Patricia Ann, John DeWitt and Bo Tullos, formerly of Rankin County, are now living at 311 Pearl Drive. Judge W.

H. Watkins of Tylertown is recuperating in the Veterans Hospital. Charles M. Hills, who entered the Baptist Hospital May 3 and continued ill there for three months, transferred to the Veterans Hospital in July where he continues ill. Mary Belle Beacham is attending Oschners Clinic in New Orleans and at the Brent House this weekend.

9. Peggy McGehee To Be Bride Of Jerry Reed Mr. and Mrs. James Bartley McGehee announce the engagement of their daughter, Judith Margaret (Peggy) to Jerry Ray Reed, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Perry Reed of Utica. The wedding will be. solemnized Saturday, April 20, at 3 p.m. at St. Peter's co-cathedral.

Miss McGehee is a granddaughter of Mrs. Alma Sommers Weems and the late Mr. William Melton Weems of Laurel. Her parental grandparents are the late Mr. Mrs.

Hiram Cassidy McGehee of McCall Creek. Her paternal greatgrandfather was Senator John Hiram McGehee of Franklin County who was one of the committee of ten who formed the Mississippi Constitution of 1890. She is also a great-niece of the late Judge Harvey McGehee who was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mississippi before his retirement. She was graduated from Murrah High School where she received the honor of being selected the outstanding Y-Teen member her senior year. She is at present a student at Mississippi Southern University.

Mr. Reed's maternal grandparents are Mrs. Agnes Stubbs and 1 the late Mr. Henry Ivy Stubbs of Utica. His maternal I great-grandmother is Mrs.

Colon A. McBride. His paternal grandparents are Willie Shelton Reed and the late Mrs. Nettie Ross Reed. All are pioneer residents of Utica and Hinds county.

Mr. Reed was an honor graudate of Utica High school where he held positions as editor of the school year book, sports editor of the school paper, member of the Beta club, National Honor society, and president of the Safety Council. He received honors such as Boys' State Delegate, American Legion Good Citizenship award, and most cooperative boy. Mr. Reed has just graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S.

degree in economics. He was a varsity cheerleader, secretary of Delta Sigma Pi, treasurer of the Student Govmember of Alpha Epsilon Alpha, honorary accounting fraternity. ANNOUNCEMENT TEA Mrs. M. J.

John W. Brisbane has returned home after a month's visit in Atlanta with her daughter and family, Dr. W. D. Logan Mellissa, Rebecca and John.

Miss Armstrong is a graduate Lexington High school and has been attending Mississippi State university where she is music major. The prospective bridegroom the son of Mr. and H. G. Harcrow of Grenada.

He graduate of Durant High School and has been attending the University of Southern Mississippi. They both plan to finish their education at the University of Wisconsin. An early March wedding being planned. After a wedding trip to Canada the young couple will be living in Wisconsin where the bridegroom-elect employed. McGehee, mother of the honoree, wearing 8 champagne point d'esprit sheath with long matching coat, and Mrs.

Perry Reed, mother of the bridegroom-to-be, who had chosen beige lace model. The reception rooms were decorated with spring flowers i in pastel shades. The tea table was covered with an imported Belgian cut-work cloth and was centered with a bridal arrangement of white stock, carnations and daisies. Streamers from each side of the arrangement carried the names of the engaged couple and the date of their wedding. The guest registry table held an arrangement bridal white flowers and minature bride doll fashioned to a likeness of the honoree.

Assisting in serving and at the guest register were: Miss Lee Ross, Miss Dorian Van Devender, Miss Frances McDowell, Miss Toni Tucker, Miss Kay Sanford, and Miss Frances Lowe. MISS MARJORIE LOUISE ARMSTRONG of Jackson whose engagement to Henry Grady Harcrow of Jackson and Grenada is announced by her mother Mrs. L. N. Armstrong of Lexington, is planning the wedding for early March.

MONDAY CLUB TO HOLD MEET surrounding a white orchid atop a white Bible. Miss Andra Kay Woods of Hollandale served as maid of honor. Mrs. Barbara Mill of Greenville was matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Gail Davis of Jackson.

They wore pink gowns overlaid with peach organza trimmed in lace and each carried a long-stemmed peach carnation. Flower girl was Lisa McGee of Brookhaven. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Dale Smith and Tommy McCleland. Glen McGee, and Paul McGee, brothers of the bridegroom, served as ushers.

The mother of the bride wore a beige satin model overlaid with Chantilly Lace. The mother of the bridegroom chose a baby blue ensameble. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the church fellowship hall. The tables, overlaid with white lace, were centered with peach and white canations. The three tiered wedding cake was trimmed with peach roses.

Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Harris Virden, Mrs. John K. Alford, Mrs. Durell The Monday club will meet at the Primos Northgate on March 4, at 12:30 p.m.
