Patricia Penning ton and Norman Johnson spent last weekend in Philadelphia I 1 If? with their parents, Mr. and Armstrong- Harcrow Engagement The engagement of Miss Mar-jorie Louise Armstrong of Jackson, to Henry Grady Harcrow EI of Jackson and Grenada, is announced by her mother Mrs. Armstrong of Lexington. She is also the daughter of the late L.

N. Armstrong. Miss Armstrong is a graduate of Lexington High school and has been attending Mississippi State university where she is a music major. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

H. G. Harcrow of Grenada. He is a graduate of Durant High School and has been attending the University of Southern Mississippi. They "both plan to finish their education at the University of Wisconsin.

Music was provided by Miss Pam Mouchett, organist, and Msis Kathy Mouchett, vocalist, both sisters of the bride. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white floor-length satin dress overlaid with white bridal illusion featuring lace sleeves. Lace appliques decorated the hemline of the dress.

The bride's veil of white illusion with hand appliques of lace flowers formed a train. She carried a bouquet of white car- Reed and the late Mrs. Nettie Ross Reed. All are pioneer residents of Utica and Hinds county. Mr.

Reed was an honor grau-date of Utica High school where he held positions as editor of my McCleland. Glen McGee, and Mr. and Mrs. James Bartley McGehee announce the engagement of their daughter, Judith Margaret (Peggy) to Jerry Ray Reed, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Perry Reed of Utica. The wedding will be. solemnized Saturday, April 20, at 3 p.m. at St. Peter's co-cathedral.

Martin entertained in the home of Mrs. Brown with a beautifully appointed tea announcing the engagement. Mrs. Brown, wearing a brocade model in shades of brown and gold, greeted guests at the door. In the receiving line were Mrs.

Godbold, attired in a brocade sheath of white and silver, Miss McGehee, the honoree, wearing a green linen skimmer from her trousseau, Mrs. J. B. the value committee of ten who formed the Mississippi Constitution of 1890. She is also a great-niece of the late Judge Harvey McGehee who was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mississippi before his retirement.

She was graduated from Murrah High School where she received the honor of being selected the outstanding Y-Teen member her senior year. She is at present a student at Mississippi Southern University. Mr. Reed's maternal grandparents are Mrs. Agnes Stubbs and the late Mr.

J. Lossetts Mark Golden Wedding Day Mr. and Mrs. Francis James Lossett were honored recently with a reception in their home on their golden wedding anniversary given by their children: Mrs. James Lossett, Mr.

and Mrs. John Lowry, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jones, all of Jackson; Mr. and Mrs.

Thomas Dickson of Gallman, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lossett of Florence. The golden wedding theme was emphasized with arrangements of gold and white. The tea table, covered by a white lace cloth, was centered by a silver epergne candelabra holding white iris stock and white tapers.
