Mrs. M. S. Spanii Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtis Flurry Spann, 61, of Pelahatchie and Perkinston will be held at 3:00 p.m.

Tuesday at Pine Grove United Methodist Church near Lucedal. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Spann died early Monday morning at Methodist Hospital in Hattiesburg following a long illness. A native of George County, Mrs.

Span was a longtime resident of Pelahatchie, and had made her home in Perkinston for the past several months. She was a registered nurse, being a graduate of the old Mississippi Charity Hhospital of Jackson School of Nursing. She had been employed as a nurse at the Davis Clinic in Bruce, Mississippi, and as a nurse at the old Southern Infirmary in Hattiesburg. She was a member of Pelahatchie United Methodist Church, and was the widow of James S. Spann who preceeded her in death in 1960.

Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Alma Crane, Hattiesburg, Mrs. Vera Ducke, Pineville, Miss Erma Flurry and Miss Berta Lee Flurry, both of Perkinston, and with whom she had made her home. Her body was taken to George County Funeral Home, Luced-ale, Mississippi, late Monday afternoon. Wright and Ferguson was in charge of local arrangements.

He was a retired shoe salesman, having worked at the Emporium, Giles and the Princess Slipper Shop. He was a member of the Capitol Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, Including Ralph W. Reed, Jack M. Reed, Mrs. Sadie Carroll, and Mrs. Margaret Buckingham, all of Jackson.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. J. K. Stuart, pastor of the Capitol Street United Methodist Church officiating.

Mr. Mangum died Tuesday in the Baptist Hospital after en extended illness. A native of Ma gee, he was a resident of Jackson for 24 years.
