Two CRYSTAL LAKE HERALD Friday, May 21, 1976 Section Two campus crossroads Susan Berning Susan Lynn Berning cum will on graduate May 23 from magna Millikin University, Decatur, Ill. She will receive her in music degree education. While at Millikin Susan was a and officer of Chi Omega social member Alpha sorority and Sigma Alpha Iota, national musical fraternity for women. She was recently honored at Millikin by being selected and initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, a national honor fraternity, and Phi Kappa Lambda, musical national fraternity. She was also awarded the fine arts award from her Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Berning, 409 Eugene and her brother Bart, who will graduate from Crystal Lake High School in June, will be attending commencement in Decatur. Patricia Smith Patricia Ann Smith was among those who were granted degrees by Clarke College, Dubuque, Iowa, at its 133rd annual commencement May 8. She received a bachelor of arts degree with a major in social work.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fran Smith, 434 Spruce Crystal Lake, Patricia graduated from Crystal Lake High School in June 1973 after having begun her studies at Clarke the previous January. Klasen Barbara Ann and Glenn Allen Klasen lighted the traditional wedding candle to their favorite song, "Colour My World," in a candlelight service April 24 at 7 p.m. in the First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake. Rose Crystal Lake. The music was provided by Barbara Thorsen, organist, and Richard Thorsen, soloist. Ivory, yellow and lavender Fuji mums and deep purple baby decorated the church for the occasion. These flowers were repeated at the altar, on the candelabra and on the aisle tapers. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose of ivory lawn.

A Queen Anne collar framed the slit neckline, and the front bodice and wide, fitted cuffs were accen.ed in ivory, alencon lace. A camelot headpiece ivory lace held her double tiered elbow length veil edged in a delicate chantilly lace. (ACROSS FROM JEWEL FOODS) Patrons' Day June 9 for Country Art Fair Fine art is the main attraction at the 20th annual Country Art Fair taking place June 11, 12 and 13 and sponsored by the Auxiliary to McHenry Hospital. Proceeds go toward the purchase of equipment for the hospital. Revenue comes from ticket sales, a percentage on the sale of a work of art, and the main support of the Fair patrons. Business Women plan installation Tuesday night, May 25, a at 7 p.m. John Evans Inn, the Business and Professional Women's Club of Crystal Lake will conclude the current 1975-76 Session with installation of new officers for the 1976-77 club year. The following members taking office are: Joyce Preusker, president; Marge Pechan, 1st vice president; Betty Destree, 2nd vice president; Dorothy Simon, recording secretary; Arline Becker, corresponding secretary; and Roma Switzer, treasurer.

Marge Pechan, outgoing term president will preside, and the installation ceremony will be conducted by Jackie Krepel, a past president. Entertainment for the evening will be supplied by The Sweet Adelines, a singing group from McHenry. All members are urged to attend this meeting and see their new officers installed and wish them well.
