Underground Rock (WDAS-FM) Yi Ask tCzr Bettelou 3 Jfl ABC, which began its 1970-71 parade of premieres on the wrong foot with Sunday's "The Young Rebels" "The Juvenile Rebels'" would have been more appropriate hits a sturdy stride with a similarly titled Monday series, "The Young Lawyers," but stumbles with the immediately following "The Silent Force." In many ways "The Young Lawyers" is like CBS' The Storefront Lawyers." The locale is different Boston, instead of Los Angeles; and its idealistic defenders of those with legal problems and without cash are law students, rather than recent law school graduates. Also, there are two young "Young" leads white male, black female, compared to "Storefront's" all-white boys-girl trio. But the emphasis on "relevance" is the same; in both instances the fledgling Black-stones are supervised by a wise old pro, and both shows apparently will peak "Perry with courtroom capers. As portrayed by Trenton's intense Zalman King (ne Zal-man King Lefkowitz) and fetching Judy Pace, the Neighborhood Law Office duo are far more distinctive and interesting than their "Store front" counterparts.

And Lee J. Cobb provides a more potent backstop for them as attorneys in the courtroom and as actors in the living room.
