Citizens for Life schedule Hay 22 for next meeting Illinois Citizens for Life will bold a meeting Thursday, May 22, at I p.m. The meeting will take place in the' Tarpley House of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, located at 210 McHenry Crystal Lake. Major topics for discussion will include the McHenry County Fair exhibit and effective ways to combat apathy. In addition, a special slide presentation will be shown.

ICL is a nonsectarian organization. All interested persons are invited to attend. For further information, please call 4554496. Candy Stripers class to begin at area hospital A new Candy Stripers class will begin its training at McHenry Hospital during the week of June 16, it has been announced by Mrs. Charles director of volunteer services at the hospital.

Applications may be obtained from high school guidance counselors or from the information desk at McHenry Hospital. Boys and girls who apply must be high school students, at least 15 years old, and must have the recommendation of their counselor and the approval of their parents. Deadline for applications is June 6.. Property owners of LITH schedule beach work party POA (Property Owners Association) of Lake in the Hills is organizing a work party at the Indian Trail Beach at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, to get the beaches ready for the swimming season.

The Lake in the Hills beaches will be open on weekends from noon to 8 p.m. until school ends, weather permitting. Coventry School's Carnival Capers will be held on the school grounds, May 24, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The 4th, 5th and 6th graders recently entered a poster contest to advertise the event. of Schools for Fifth grade winners were 1 Adriane Hemeyer; 2) Karen Paul; and 3) Janet Nelson. Capturing the 6th grade ribbons were: 1) Lori Johnston; 2) Barb Bengston; and 3) Greg Evans. All posters entered in the contest are now on display in the Crystal Lake stores. Carnival Capers will be featuring a variety of games including a basketball toss, car races, a maze, dart games, duck pond. Bozo buckets, penny pitch, ring toss and many others.

Also being featured are a plant booth, cake walk, fortune telling, tatoos, make-up booth and the Moon Walk ride. Tickets, at 15 cents each will be available on the school grounds the day the carnival. Proceeds will be used to improve the playground at Coventry School. Glenn Stinek, organist, and Mrs. Richard Gilpin, soloist. The bride's mother chose a gown of aqua chiffon with full sleeves edged in jewels. The groom's mother selected an apricot chiffon gown with full sleeves and pearl accessories. They each had a phalaenopsis orchid corsage.

The Silver Tones played for dancing at the reception which followed at The Branded Steak House. Susan Ferenc of Wayne, 111., cousin of the bride, circulated the guest book among the 100 in attendance. Honored I giiest were the grandmothers of the bride, Mrs. Gladys Robertson of Barrington and Mrs. Adela Stoddard of Crystal Iake.

The newlyweds are residing now in West Dundee after a wedding trip to Hawaii. The bride graduated from Crystal Lake High School in 1972 and is employed in the credit department of Safety-Kleen Corp. in Elgin. The groom graduated from Dundee High School in 1964 and is manager of Liberty Loan in Elgin. He had 4 years of active duty in the U.S.

Air Force. Mrs. Charles Stoddard, Mrs. John Avampato and the bride's attendants entertained at a prenuptial bridal shower. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the young couple at the home of the bride's parents.

Julie A. Robertson became the bride of Martin H. Sohlberg on April 26 in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Crystal Lake. The Rev.

J. Allan Mittler performed the double ring ceremony at 5 p.m. with the church decorated by white dragons and pink carnations on the altar and 2 vases of large white mums on stands in front of the altar. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Lloyd A. Robertson of 426 Lake Crystal Lake, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Sohlberg of Carpentersville.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory silk mist and satin. It featured a high neckline and Renaissance sleeves with trim of Venise and re-embroidered lace. The attached semi-cathedral train was deeply bordered in satin and lace. A matching three-quarter length lace "edged mantilla completed the costume. With it she wore a single strand of pearls which were worn by her mother on her wedding day and pearl earrings given her by the groom.

The bridal bouquet was white roses, stephanotis and baby's-breath. The bride presented a yellow rose to her mother at the start of the ceremony and another to the groom's mower at the conclusion. Sue Robertson of Lawrence, sister-in-law of the bride was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Janice L. Robertson of Fond du Lac, also a sister-in-law, Patricia Sohlberg of Carpentersville, sister of the groom, and Susan Nightingale of Barrington, cousin of the bride.

They were attired in rainbow floral empire gowns with puffed sleeves. They wore ivory picture hats with flowers to match the print and color of each gown. Their bouquets were of blue elegance, red sweetheart roses, lavender pom-pons, white roses and baby's-breath.
