H. of 2009 Maple avenue, at 2 O'clock yesterday afternoon of a complication of diseases incident to his advanced years. He was born near Kennett Square, Chester county, April 16, 1849. During his residence in Altoona he had been employed as a salesman by the Leonard Miller Sons company and the Altoona Drug Chemical company. He served as associate judge of Juniata county for a period of four years prior to coming to Altoona.

Mr; Wickersham was active In the Altoona council of the United Commercial Travelers' association and for the past ten years- had been chaplain of the local council. He was well known among the mem- berg of the organization throughout the state and in June was appointed grand chaplain Of the Pennsylvania council. He was also a past senior councillor of the local council. His Mrs. Arabella (Myers) Wickersham, with whom he was united in marriage 'on Dec.

18, 1870, died Sept. 6, 1915. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mann, and one son, H. W.

Wickersham qf Thompsontown. A son, Herbert B. Wickersham, died July 31, 1917. Mr. Wickersham was a member' of the Second Lutheran church.

Funeral services will be held at the Mann home at 8 o'clock tomorrow evening and the. funeral cortege will leave the city at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon for Thompsontown where interment will be made. MISS PAULINE G. HUKKEl Died at her home, 2312 Fifth avenue, at 10 o'clock yesterday morning of a complication of diseases. She had- been In poor health for a number of years, her condition becoming more serious during the past three months.

She WM born in Altoona, April 20, 1907, a daughter of I. M. and Ella (Claar) Burket. Surviving are her father and the following brothers, and sisters: May and Lois, of this city, and Amos Burket, a member of the merchant "larine. A short funeral service will be held at the late home at 7.30 o'clock this evening.

0, SWARTZ DIES IN FLORIDA Mrs. Ada Virginia Swartz, wife of William G. and a former Altoona resident, died OH Friday, Aug. 9, at Eustls, Lake County, following a lengthy Illness. She was 68 years old.

Her husband will be remembered as a retired assistant foreman 'in the Altoona brick-laying department of the Pennsylvania railroad. Deceased Was born at Wayne Court House, the daughter of Colonel and Mrs: James M. Corns. Early in life the family removed to Altoona, where. nearly fifty-six jfears ago she married Mr.

Swartz. Six years agb they removed frdm this city to Eus- tls, where they a'litce made their home. They resided at, 600 Twenty- second avenue, prior to going south. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Aida Poeth of Orlando'and Mrs, George W.

Plitt of Pittsburgh, who were at her bedside when the end came. She also leaves four grandchildren and one brother, Hiram A. Corns of Vancouver. i She was a member of the First Baptist 'dWurch of Altoona. The funeral took place in Eustls, with interment there.
