2. Don't stand at the ball return to wait for your ball to return. This can bother bowlers on other lanes. Walk back off the approach. 3.

After your ball hits the pin, walk back off the approach and let bowlers on adjoining lanes take over. 4. Stay within the confines of your lane. Don't let your "body English" swing you over to another approach. Missouri Breaks Record LAWRENCE, Kan. (UPI) Missouri's Robin Lingle, running, a sizzling 4:01 anchor, paced the Tigers 1 to a record 4-mile relay championship before more than 2,000 fans in the opening of the Kansas Relays yesterday. The winning time was 16:41.6, breaking the standard of 16:53.1 set by Kansas two years ago. Lingle was about 50 yards behind Harold Hadley of Kansas when he took the baton from Bill Rawson for the final mile. The former West Point cadet had a two-yard lead going into the final lap and won moving away.

Texas finished second in 16:41.6. Kansas was third in 16:46.7, and Houston fourth in 16:48.4. All first four teams bettered the record. Jerry Dyes of Abilene Christian took the halfway lead in the decathlon with a 5-event point total of 4,195. Phil Mulkey, unattached, (Birmingham), defending pion, was second with 3,899 points.

Geoff Walker of Houston set the only other record on the card when he posted a 14:36 clocking in the run. Walker's pace bettered the old record of 14:58.6 set by Miles Eisenman of Oklahoma State, in 1960. Nebraska took the University sprint medley relay title in 3:22.7, better than three seconds above the 3:19.5 record set by Oklahoma in 1958. Lamar Tech missed the sprint medley relay college mark by two-tenths of a second with a winning mark of 3:20. Texas Southern was a close second at 3:20.2.

Ray Hilburn captured the first meet title in history for Texas Western. Hilburn won the 400- meter hurdles in 52.9. Defending champion Jim Miller of Colorado, a strong favorite, lost his footing on the final turn and failed to finish among the top four.
