Lemmon Howard E. Lemmon, 75, of 5463 Clinton died late Sunday at Briarhill Nursing Home following an extended illness. Lemmon was a native of Ohio, but had made his home in Jackson since 1945. His wife, Iris Boyd Lemmon preceded him in death in 1953. He was a member of the West Capitol Street Church of Christ and was a retired painting and building contractor.

Survivors are two sons, Ben S. Lemmon, and Asa B. Lemmon, both of Jackson, and three grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday from Wright Ferguson Chapel with Dr.

Bill Causey, officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be A. Bill McKinney, Ford McKinney, James L. Tyler, Charles Evans, and Eugene Roberts, Honorary pallbearers are L.

D. Loden and Charles Buckley. Sebron R. Barton Sebron R. Barton, 86, resident of 443 Glendale Street died Monday morning following an extended illness.

A native of Attala County, Mr. Barton had lived in Jackson since 1932. He was a member of Wells Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors are two sons, Guy Barton of Crystal Springs and Paul Barton of Jackson; five daughters, Mrs. Lester Brunt, Mrs.

C. E. Gill, Mrs. J. A.

Burns, and Mrs. LeRoy Boyles all of Jackson; and Mrs. Inez nine grandchildren and twelve Longmire of Shreveport, great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m.

Wednesday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel, with Rev. R. E. Case and Rev. Keith Tonkel officiating.

Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. W. W. Briggs Funeral services for Mrs.

W. W. Briggs, 88, of 1723 East Northside Drive, will be held at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday in Wright Ferguson Chapel, with Dr.

Bill Causey and Rev. Fred A. Tarpley, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery at Hattiesburg with Rev. Brooks Wester, officiating.

She died Monday morning at Beech Haven Rest Home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Briggs was a native of Clarke County and had formerly lived in Hattiesburg and for many years resided in McComb. She was the widow of Wiley W. Briggs and following his death in 1946, she came to Jackson to make her home with her son Robert E.

Briggs and daughter, Mrs. John Banks. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John (Louise) Banks of Jackson and Mrs.

W. R. (Marian) Wilkins of Richmond, Va. and son, Robert E. Briggs Sr.

of Jackson; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one brother, William Wells, and two sisters, Mrs. Ilma Beard and Mrs. Frank Glenn all of Hattiesburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be, William H. Lambeth, W.

C. Reed Jack Williams, Wm. L. Tyson Charlie Strahan, Joe Register, and Lyons Walsh. CLAY R.

KEY, WEST, R. Fla. PEAGLER. services for Clay Peagler, 50, were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Key West. Burial was in Key West with Masonic rites at the graveside.

Peagler, Morton three brothers, Peter T. Peagler, Pearl, George G. Peagler, New Orleans, and Bryant C. Peagler, or Port Arthur Texas; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Jane Diskell, Pelahatchie; seven grandchildren.

J. C. McCREARY Clarence DURANT will services be for held at John 1 McCreary, 89, a. m. Tuesday at Southern Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the West Cemetery. Mr. McCreary, a resident of West, died at District Two hospital Monday morning after a short illness. He was a native Holmes County and had made his home in West where he had farming interests. Survivors are his wife, Mrs.

Fannie Lou Autry McCreary; four daughters, Mrs. B. F. Johnson, Tchula, Miss Lalie McCreary and Mrs. Albert Farmer, both of West.

Mrs. Claude Jennings Kosciusko; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Glen Walton Phoenix, Mrs. Katherine Bain, Mrs.

Bits Sims, and Mrs. Annie Ray, all of Williamsville. WILFORD LABO OSYKA Services for Wilford Labo, 65, were held in Pleasant Hill Baptist church, and burial was in the church cemetery. He died at his residence in nearby Mt. Hermon.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Wilton Labo, Mt. Herman; three daughters, Mrs. Wilkie Barnes and Mrs. Charlene Ravencraft, both of Franklinton, and Miss Maxine Labo Mt. Hermon; two brothers, Fred Labo and Alton Labo, both of Kentwood; five sisters, Mrs.

Jessie Lawrence, Roseland; also six grandchildren. AUGUSTINE GUTHRIE PHILADELPHIA-Funeral services for Augustine (Gus) Guthrie, 69, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Louisville. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jac Park- Arlie Warren Dies In Natchez, Rites Tuesday NATCHES Arlie C. Warren, former president of the Adams County Board of Supervisors, died unexpectedly Sunday night at the Jefferson Davis Memorial Hospital. Warren, 66, had been a member of the board for 28 years and was defeated in 1967. He then entered the realty business in Natchez.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday from the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Burial will be in the City cemetery. MRS. CLARICE JONES INDIANOLA- for Mrs. Clarice Kelly Jones, 52, will be held at two p. Tuesday from the First United Methodist Church with burial at the New Cleveland Cemetery in Cleland. Mrs.

Jones, who was a native of Cleveland, died Sunday at the University Hospital in Jackson after a brief illness. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Indianola Garden Club and the 20th Century Club. She was also a member of the Bolivar County chapter of U. D. C.

She is survived by her husband, Myron Jones; one daughter, Clarice Kelly Jones of Indianola; her mother, Mrs. Mary David Miller of Cleveland; and one Board of Aldermen of from 1936-39; member of the Board of Supervisors of Adams County from 1940-67 and president a number of years; was president of the State Supervisors Association and a member of the Board of directors of the National Association of County Officers. He was a charter member of the Public Employment Retirement System of Mississippi, and was a member and past president of the Adams County Industrial Council. He was a member and on the board of the Southern Industrial Association. For a number of years he was a delegate to the National Democratic Party's convention, and he was a past president of the Natchez Realtors Association.

Barnes was a native of Pike County, and made her home in Jackson, for over fifty years. For the past three years she had lived in McComb. She was a member of the Capitol Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Eleanor Barnes, of Jackson, two sisters, Mrs. I.

C. Rushing and Mrs. J. C. Carruth, both of McComb, Miss.

John C. Rucker Funeral services for John C. Rucker, 78, a resident of 238 Mason will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel with Rev. Charles Edmunson, pastor of Clinton Blvd.

Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. Rucker died Sunday afternoon at Hinds General Hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Greensboro, and a longtime resident of Miss. and had spent most of his life in Laurel; he had made his home in Jackson for the past year.

He atiended Millsaps College and was a Veteran of WWI; He was formerly owner and Manager of the International Harvester Farm Implement Co. and the Studebaker Automobile Agency in Laurel. He was a member of the American Legion and the V. F. W.

Mellwain, 65, of 1838 Lake Trace, prominent Jackson Radiologist, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday from Wright Ferguson Chapel with Rev. Larry Rohrman, and Rev. Joe N. Triplett, officiating.

Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday al Waynesboro, Miss. Dr. McIlwain was stricken Saturday afternoon and died a few hours later at St. Dominic's Hospital.
