GETS A PROMOTION. Lieutenant R. STATION. 2 Fa is': White, white as the driven snow whit-er by far than any snow now resting upon the bosom of Minneapolis are the windows of the New Store. By this It Is not meant literally that tbe windows themselves are white, but that the magnificent showing of linens, muslins, corsets, muslin underwear, corset covers, skirts, night robes, laces, draperies, bedspreads, shirts, night shirts, within are all of one tone dead white and so well has the work of trimming been done that, though there is not a single primary color, or even tint, along tbe entire front, the eye is relieved by passing from one window to another, due to tbe nice taste used' in the selection and arrangement ot goods.

Especially has artistic effect been secured in the case of the window containing the spinning wheel girl; above, below and on both sides of the figure, to the front, dainty, snowy napkins, doilies and centerpieces are- twisted and hung, tbe whole having a likeness to some huge, white, symmetrical bush with bursting buds at the twig ends. At the bark of the window In the center sits tbe figure busily engaged In spinning, while the wheel turns and the spindle rotates as In good old revolutionary times. It Is a very pretty display, and one that even a casual observer cannot help adtntrlng, while to tbe 'experienced eye It represents hours of careful planning and pains, taking labor. The whole display. Indeed.

Is a credit to Messrs. Evans, Munzer, Pickering A and in keeping with their fixed policy of presenting only the best things. IMPROVEMENT BONDS.
