He received a number of awards from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge for patriotic songs he authored. In the 1920s he also authored a book on Baron von Steuben, drillmaster for Washington's i evolutionary army. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Racher, Mrs. Sally Scharlack and Mrs.

William B. Richter, Oak Lane dentist and songwriter, died Thursday at his home, 1601 67th of a heart attack. He was 74. Dr. JUchter practiced dentistry here since his graduation from Temple University Dental School in 1927.

His offices in recent years were at the 67th ave. address. They earlier were located at 6746 York rd. and at 13th and Arch sts. Dr.

Richter was a songwriter since his student days at Temple. He first wrote several songs for his alma mater and over the years composed Mary R. Ex-Army Mary R. Lenny, a retired Army Nurse Corps major, died Saturday of a heart attack in her apartment at 2601 Parkway. She was 61.

She had served in the Army Nurse Corps from June, 1945, until June, 1965, when she retired, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Maj. Lenny was graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls in 1929 and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in 1932. For approximately 10 years she was on the nursing staff of the Wills Eye Hospital and another three years served as a civilian nurse with the Army's ordinance department here.

After joining the Army Nurse Corps she was stationed at various base hospi M. Raniri, Mario Raniri, retired clothing manufacturer, died Sunday at Bryn Mawr Hospital of cancer. He was 80 and lived at 103 Cross Hill Over-brook Hills. Mr. Raniri was a boy when he left his native Italy and came to this country.

Later, he joined his late brother, Julio, as a partner in clothing manufacturing. retired in 1946, and subsequently was associated with STEPSIS Oct. 7, 1973, FRANK husband of Bertha (nee Fee). Relatives Invited to funeral service Wed. 10 A.M., JOS.

J. She served an additional two years at Bad Kreuznach, Germany, and then was assigned to Valley Forge General Hospital. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jane E. Whalen and Mrs.

Catherine E. McCall. A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 A.M. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, 24th and Green sts.

Peter and Paul Cemetery. manufacturers of casual clothes, were held Monday at Levine's Funeral Home, 7112 N. Broad st. Mr. Stoumen, who was 71 and lived at 191 Presidential in Bala Cynwyd, died Saturday at Lankenau Hospital of heart failure.

He founded Brentwood, which had its main factory and offices at 4411 Whitaker in 1928. Mr. Stoumen was a member of the Knitted Outerwear Association, and the Men's Apparel Club. He is survived by hiswife Rose; a son, Arnold; and a daughter, Mrs. Helene Klein-man.

He was buried in Har Nebo Cemetery at Oxford and Ben-ner st. Mark Pascoe, Trombonist, 72 Marcus (Mark) Pascoe, a. retired trombonist who played with some of the leading big bands and society orchestras, died of heart failure Friday at Atlantic City Hospital. He was 72 and lived at 114 Pacific Atlantic City. Mr.

Pascoe, who began his musical career in the early 1920s, performed tiwh Tommv Dorsey, Sigmund Romberg, Lanm, Meyer Davis and Victor Borge. He also played at the Steal Pier, Miss America pageants and nightclubs. In his later years, he taught. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians chapters in Philadel phia, Atlantic City and New xork. Surviving are a son, Murray; a daughter, Mrs.

Services for Bernard Stoumen, founder and president of Brentwood Sportswear one the country's largest Frank Miller, Furniture Seller Frank Miller, a furniture manufacturer, died of heart failure Monday at Nazareth Hospital.

He was 60 and lived at 2665 Willits rd. Mr. Miller was president of S. Miller and Sons, at 1631 S. Water since 1949.

The firm had been founded by his father, the late Samuel Miller, in 1918. He was a member of Brith Sholom and Congregation Beth Tifilleth. Surviving are his wife, the former Edythe Segal; a son, Martin; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Goldstein; four grand-, children; three brothers and a sister. Services will be held at 10 A.M.

Tuesday at Goldstein's, 6410 N. Broad st. Interment will be in Montefiore Cemetery. Morris Stein, Manufacturer Morris Stein, owner of the Fruit Basket, a manufacturer of fruit specialties, died Saturday of a heart attack in Atlantic City, N. while visiting friends.

Mr. Stein, who founded the comoany, located at 1522 Wadsworth 17 years ago, was 58. He lived in the Cedar Brook Hill Apartments in Wyncote. He is survived by his wife, Sally; a son, Neil; a daughter, Mrs. Cheryl Borish; and a brother; Edward.
