Int. and services at cortv Will Texas Ban Grid 'Chemical Warfare9? The incident is now being investigated by the Texas Inter-scholastic League, which is sponsored by the University of Texas. Bailey Marshall, the league's athletic director, said his group intends to make sure member schools adopt "proper crowd control measures." "I don't like the idea of police using Mace of tear as at high school events," Marshall said. "Particularly on tion and estimated damages at $500, but claimed police used tear gas on unruly spectators, not players. Premont Police Chief Cleo Thompson refused to comment as did City Clerk Lato Barrera who said, "This has made more front-page news around here than President Nixon." Al Chance, principal of Premont High, said he estimated damages at $484 but claimed that "at least four players" were "sprayed with screaming and holding their eyes." Grover C.

Shanks, superintendent of Los Fresnos schools, termed the reports "gross exaggeration." "We made restitution for $77.50 for a couple of clothes hangers, a shower curtain and a light pole," Shanks said. "And as far as the Macing is concerned, I can't say." Hector Barrera, Premont's justice of the peace, said he conducted his nwn investiga 12. After order had been restored, Premont kicked a field goal to win the game, 15-34. Los Fresnos players then reportedly tried to tear down their locker room, causing $1,200 in damage. The incident has already attracted national attention.

Time magazine reported: "The cop waded into the fight and sprayed his chemical Mace into the faces of seven Los Fresnos' first-string players, who fell to the ground C0YLE Of Stone Harbor, N. former'y of Merion, Dec. 2, 1971, G. WILLIAM, husband of Florence Wood Coyle. Services 1 P.

In the third quarter Mark Brenfleck closed out the scoring with a 33-yard field goal. DEFENSE SUPERB While the offense amassed 307 yards in total offense 227 rushing and 80 through the air the defense completely throttled Central. In the first half the Lancers were able to gain only 56 yards and most of that came on a 36-yard pass play that ended the half. Central got three first downs in the first half but two were on penalties and the third came on the pass play. Things didn't get much better in the second half as the teams picked up 40 yards on the ground and 15 through the air.

ANDERSON SHACKLED The Lancers' leading runner, Kenny Anderson, gained only 27 yards and gained more than four yards only once; when he picked up 16 late in the game. "We were just outplayed and outcoached," Veith said. "I thought we were ready for this game but we just turned out flat. I have no reason for it but they were higher than a kite and we were flat." Frankford advances to the city championship game next week against the winner of today's Catholic League title game between Bishop Ken-rick and Archbishop Carroll. Frankford's record is now 11-0 and that's one more football game than the school has ever won.

Unless someone closes Frankford's they might see victory No. 12 next Saturday at Franklin Field. Central 3 0 pass 0 0 00 12 3 015 from Ebbecfce Frankford Fkd. Townsell (run failed). Fkd.
