The Tribune, Francis Bedel mour, died Sunday, -2004, at his Mr. Bedel Arvin's after 25. years of service. Bern Dec. 19, 1924, at Seymour, he was a son of Claude and Beatrice Bedel, who preceded him Jackson County, Ind.

He married 1 Louise Rice April 20, 1945, at Brownstown, and she survives. He also is survived by four children, Francis Bedel Elkhart, Rhonda Kay Engleking, North Vernon, Randall Wayne Bedel, Jacksonville, and Garry Bedel, Columbus; a brother, Ivan Bedel, Seymour; five sisters, Carol Ruth Ray, Seymour, Anni Gay, Brownstown, Edith Beckman, Seymour, Doris Bedel, Seymour, and Emma Bedel, Seymour; 17 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Madge Ackers and Mary Williams. The Rev. Bob Davis will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour, with burial at. Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 12:30 p.m.

July 8, 1942 Aug. 9, 2004 Ray F. "Smokey" Boas 62, Seymour, died at 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Hospice of South Central Indiana, Columbus.

Mr. Boas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1960 to 1963. He retired from Cummins Engine Co. after 32 years of service.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, a 31-year member of the Seymour Elks Club and an 11-year member of the American Legion Post 89. Born July 8, 1942, at Seymour, he was a son of Ray F. Boas, who preceded him in death, and Mary Lee Ashcraft Boas, who survives at Seymour. He married Wilma Jo Herndon Aug.

1, 1964, at Seymour, and she survives. He also is survived by a son, Darrin (Shawna) Boas, Seymour; two grandchildren, Brandon Ray and Morgan Lee Boas, both of Seymour; three sisters, Iva Ann (Gene) Lester, Princeton, Carol Jo Norris, Buena Park, and Mary R. (Mark) Sheppard, Seymour; and two brothers, Henry F. (Kari) Boas, Hudson, and Paul D. (Eileen) Boas, North Vernon.

He also was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Lee Kirkpatrick. The Rev. John Hall will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, with burial at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church. A prayer service will take place at 7:45 p.m.
