Ochs Jim and May Ochs of North Vernon plan to celebrate theirfc60th wedding anniversary on Friday. Mr. Ochs and the former Mary Simpson were married July 6, 1952, in First Baptist Church at North Vernon by Dr. W.H. DillarcL The Ochs are the parents of three sons, Gary Ochs of Wilmington, N.C., Jeff Ochs of Celebration, and David Ochs of Greenwood.

The couple also have seven grandchildren. He retired after beginning his retail career in 1940 with his father at Ochs Auto Supply. After school, Jim received his Federal Communications Commission first class license and served as chief engineer for WOCH radio. He also was the owner of Ochs Home Furnishings for 35 years. She worked at Muscatatuck State Hospital and with her husband in the furniture business.

Bradford Newborn Lost Limbs Foundation plans to hold its first charity ride on July 14. The ride will begin at Seymour High School and end at Jackson-Washington State Forest in the Brownstown area. The 96-mile ride will take participants through Jackson, Bartholomew, Brown and Monroe counties. The cost is $15 per rider or $20 per couple. Registrations will start at 9:30 a.m.

The purpose of this event is to promote youth recreational fishing and public use on the refuge.

Kids 15 years old or younger with an accompanying adult(s) may access the refuge for this free fishing opportunity. There will be a kid's casting contest and other special activities. A limited number of prize packets wiB be available for the kids; so come tarty to get your packet while they last Free refreshments including hot dogs, chips, soda, and cookies will be available from 10 a.m. until noon.
