I Interesting News Notes of Local Happenings of the Week RETURNS PROM INDIANA Mrs. H. Hamilton, 709 Highreturned this morning from a two week visit in Ft. Wayne, Ind. While gone she was a guest in the homes of her sisters, Mrs.

J. C. Good and Mrs. George Seibold and other relatives and friends. TO MATHER AFB Clyde Wilson has returned to Mather Air Force base, Sacramento, after spending a five-day leave with his mother, Mrs.

Jay Stith, 403 Reynard street and with other relatives and friends. He is grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Head, Chillicothe. RETURN FROM THE WEST Mr.

and Mrs. Bud Gray of 111 Clay and daughter, Mrs. Pauline Grogan, and her daughter, Paula, of Wheaton, returned Saturday evening from a vacation in the west. Places of terest visited were Denver, Estes Park and Colorado Springs. Mrs.

Grogan and daughter returned to their home in Illinois Sunday morning. HAYESES RETURN HOME Dr. and Mrs. L. G.

Hayes and children, Ted, Tim, Mike and Kelly, have returned to their home by jet in Tucson, after a week's visit with Mrs. Hayes's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kinselia, 57 Tenth, and brothers and families, Mr. and Mrs.

Larry Kinsella and Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Kinsella, of this city.

Ray Guilford, Hale and Mrs. Roy Lightner, RFD 3, Chillicothe, have been released from the Chillicothe hospital, SPEARSES ARE HOME Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spears, Dennis and Steven of 26 Clay have returned after a 2-week vacation. They visited with the Delbert Woodalls in Miami, and in Marshfield with the Roy Crawford family.

Mrs. Spears was on vacation from the J. C. Penney store, where she is employed in the basement. Mrs.

Spears returned to her job yesterday. WITH NIECE IN PHOENIX Miss Judy Fewell and Denese and Denene, have returned to their home in Kansas City, after a few days visit with Miss Fewell's mother, Mrs. Geraldine Fewell, Calhoun street. Mrs. Helen Richards, who accompanied them left during the weekend for a month-visit in Phoenix, Ariz.

She will be a guest in the home of her niece, Mrs. Mary Ellen Van Duzen and daughter. HOSPITAL ADMITTANCES Mrs. Eva Oden, Hale, Thomas Beedle, RFD 1, Winston; Mrs. Helen Hamilton, Dawn; Mrs.

Adron Loney, RFD 5, Chillicothe; Donna Helm, daughter of Mrs. Charlotte Helm, 109 Third street; Jos. Hedrick, Breckenridge; Jim Aydelutt, 1308 Burnam road; Seth Sidebottom, adville; Woodling, Linneus and Lloyd Woolsey, Breckenridge, have been admitted to the Chillicothe hospital. VACATIONED IN TEXAS Mrs. Leo Englert, 506 Clay street, returned Monday from a several-week visit in the home of her daughter, Mrs.

Frank Horrigan in Huston, Tex, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Englert and family of Tallahassee, also spent sometime in the Horrigan home, while Mrs. Englert was there. Neil Horrigan accompanied his grandmother home and will spend the remainder of summer visiting in her home and with his aunt, Mrs.

Bill May and family, 403 Webster street. VISITORS FROM BUFFALO Mrs. Levoun French and daughter, Connie of Buffalo visited this week with friends in Chula. They are former residento of Chula, VISIT IN WHEELING Mrs. Don Witherspoon and daughters, Vickie and Donna, of Dallas, arrived Thursday morning to spend the weekend with her parents, Mr.

Vern Summers returned Monday from Wadena and Herman, where she attended the funeral and burial services of her uncle, Frank Hulburt on Thursday. The funeral for Mr. Hulburt, who died on Sunday were held at Wadena with interment in the Herman tery on Thursday. Mrs. Summers accompanied her cousins, Mr.

VISITED IN KANSAS CITY Mr. and Mrs. Sumner Tucker and Mrs. Earl Stepp motored to Richmond Sunday morning and attended the morning services at the Methodist church. They were dinner guests of Mrs.

Louis Quest at the Dolce's in the afternoon. MRS. MACKEY RETURNS Mrs. Mildred Mackey returned Saturday evening from Indianapolis, where she has been with her sister, Mrs. A.

W. Schreiber and Mr. Schreiber for the last three months. The condition of Mr. Schreiber, who has been bedfast for the last year, remains unchanged.

IN STEVENSON HOME Mr. and Mrs. Leo Crim of Olathe, were guests over the weekend in the home of Mrs. Crim's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Raymond Stevenson of Wheeling. Also spending the weekend in the Stevenson home was Marc Zelenka of Columbia, who is a friend of Fred Stevenson. WAYMAN FINISHES COURSE E. Wayman, 1314 Miller, representative for Mutual of Omaha and United of Omaha, has completed the insurance course offered at the National Sales Training School session at Omaha, Neb. Mr.

W. D. Sutherland will journey to St. Louis tomorrow for a 4-day yacation. They will attend 1 a few ball games.

WOODENS ARE GUESTS Sp4 and Mrs. John Dale Wooden of Fort Carson, were supper guests last night of Mrs. Gerald Hayes and Mr. and Mrs. Beck Trussell of 1410 Maple.

Wooden will leave July 15 for Colorado before going overseas. WITH SISTER Mr. and Mrs. G. H.

Rudeen of South Bend, came July 1 to visit her sister, Mrs. Hallie Johnson of Dawn. Mr. and Mrs. Rudeen have remained longer because of the hospitalization of Mrs.

Miss Copple attends summer school at Central Methodist College in Fayette.

Jordan, of Merriam, Kan. The Jordans were recently transferred from Richardson, Tex. KIMBERLY DEE HOBBS Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hobbs of Webster are the parents of a daughter born at 1:10 this morning at the Chillicothe hospital.

The young lady weighed 6 pounds and 10 ounces and has been named Kimberly Dee. Mrs. Hobbs is the former Delaine Baugher. This is the Hobbs's first child. Maternal grandparents are Mr.

and Mrs. Melvin Baugher of 1212 Mc. Nally and paternal grandparents are Mrs. MAX Greer Chillicothe and Glen Hobbs of Cameron. ACCEPTS POSITION Miss Donna Wade of Laclede has accepted a fulltime position at the Young Modern Beauty Salon in Park Center.

Miss Wade will begin her duties Monday. WISCONSIN GUESTS Mr. and Mrs: Jack L. Owens of Chula had as their overnight guest last evening Mr. Owens's brother-in-law, Grayson Trosper of Oregon, Wis.

and Mrs. James Mabery and family returned yesterday to their home at 1904 Webster after spending the last two weeks touring western states. Points of interest visited were Knotts Berry Farm, Universal City, China Town, Fisherman Wharf and a trip over the Golden Gate Bridge, En route home, they stopped at a roadside park in Nevada, where they met the Jim Ireland family also of Chillicothe. David Cameron have returned to their home in Canoga Park, after 8 three-week visit in Missouri. They visited Mrs. Cameron's brother, Voyle Grothe and Mrs. Grothe at Chula; Mrs. Cleve Kissick in Chillicothe and with other friends.

BOB HEAD IS HERE Bob Head of Columbia, who 18 a legal adviser for the University of Missouri Medical Center, is spending the weekend in Chillicothe with relatives and friends. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Head of 912 Woodward.

PERSELLS ARE GUESTS Mr. and Mrs. John Persell of Olathe, are spending few days of their vacation with Mrs. Persell's mother, Mrs. Gertie Wilson, and other tives.

Mr. and Mrs. Persell spent several days touring and visiting relatives and friends in Gunnison, Denver, and other places in Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah. FROM GERMANY Mr. and Mrs.

John Silfer, of Heldelberg, Germany, have arrived for a six-week visit in the home of Mr. Sliter's parents, and brother, Mr. and Mrs. John Slifer, and Bob, 1210 Calhoun street. Mr.

Sliter is music director of the Heidelberg Amer. ican High School. Mrs. Slifer, prior to her marriage to Mr. Slifer on April 10 was Miss Gerda Fricker of Heidelberg.

GENE BILLSES LEAVE Mr. and Mrs. Gene Bills, AnDe Marie and Rory, left today for their residence in Garden Grove, after a 2-week visit with Mr. Bills's parents, Mr, and Mrs. Lawrence Bills of Mooresville, and other relatives in this area.

They will be accompanied home by Mr. Bills's sister, Mrs. Carroll Sinclair, Mr. Sinclair, Rickey and Randy, residents of North Kansas City, who will spend their vacation in California. IN CARNAHAN HOME Mr.

AMBULANCE TRANSFERS Earl Whitehead, 2210 Tommahawk road and Charles Dome, Utica were taken to the Chillcothe hospital Monday evening by the Chillicothe Coach and Ambulance Service. Mrs. Elmira Pitts was released this morning from the hospital and was taken by the ambulance service to the Akers pursing home. OPEN HOUSE SUNDAY The Chillicothe Archery Club will hold an open house 20-pin shoot Sunday July 14 at 1:30 p.m.

Members of the Brookfield, Macon and Trenton archery clubs are invited to attend this event. Some of the states top archers are expected to present. The public is welcome to attend. at the University of Missouri Medical Center. Mr.

Roy Couch of 233 Williams street. WISCONSIN VISITORS Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Shields of Brookfield, arrived Monday for a few days visit in the Chillicothe and the Avalon communities with relatives and friends. Mr.

Shields was born and reared in the Avalon community where, his father, the late Robert Shields, owned and operated a hardware store for years. While here they are guests at tie Shamrock Motel. They expect to leave on their return trip Wednesday. THE DICK LONGS HERE Mr. and Mrs.
