Twin Cities paging network officials say working mothers are using them to stay in touch with day-care providers. The use of pagers for legal as well as illegal purposes has boomed in recent years, and satellite technology will soon make it possible to "beep" someone anywhere on the globe. Yellow Pages directories show dozens of Twin Cities paging companies of various stripes some even offering paging throughout southern Minnesota and Iowa. One offers nationwide paging. One boasts being in the business since 1948.
