Land Cruises to California and Mexico Every week-end during the winter a special land-cruise train will depart for a 16-day tour of Mexico, visiting eight cities other ooints of interest. Also, each week end, a similar cruise train will leave for California and the Southwest on a 14-day holiday trip with stops in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, reports J. E. Beard of the American Express travel service. These overland special train holi day tours are planned to meet the needs of those who prefer to travel in a group with congenial companions.

The trips to California use the Santa Fe. the Southern Pacific, the Missouri Pacific and the Wabash railroads. To Mexico the co-operating lines are Wabash, Missouri Pacific and the National Railroads of Mexico. Calvert Winter and Son Leave Professor Calvert Winter his son. Calvert Winter, Jr, and re- turned this week to their home in Kansas, where Professor Winter is on the faculty of the Spanish department at the University of Lawrence.
