Patterson moved as a substitute for motion and the Board proceed to 'Superintendent. Nevitt withdrew his amendment. The chair decided Patterson's motion out of 'Patterson, appealed to the Board. The chair was slustained- discussion as to qualifications of candidates out of order. Teats appealed from the decision of the chair.

Watson from on poor use offered a report in relation to'Su- perintendent of poor farm," and moved that it be made the special order for 8 o'clock a. m. to-morrow. Carried. Patterson from the committee 'on Petit Jury presented a report on' that and moved to make it ppo- pjaljorder.

C. King received 12 votes, Wilmot Fisk 3, Scott Crouch 2, Dennis Drake 2, Dan'l Foy 1, Jotham McKee 1, and A. Farrington 1.

McCoy moved that the Board'now proceed to a formal ballot, but withdrew the- motto -and- mo ved-th a go into committee of the whole for discussion. Carried. And the Board wentiinto committee of the whole witji Farrington in tho chair. The committee arose and reported no progress, McCoy resumed the cha'i'r. Watson moved that the board do.now proceed-to a formal ballot for Superintendent of the county poor house and farm.

Carried. Nc'vitt was appointed as teller. Tho result of the ballot as follows L. C. King received 16 votes, Scott Crouch 2, W.

Fisk 3'. Bennett salary. Carried. ried as amended. to fix the salary of Mr.
