Indiana announce the engagement and approaching marriage on Saturday, Aug. 13, of their youngest daughter, Grace Marie, above, to James Lee Wooley, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Lee Woolley, 1103 W. Broadway, The wedding will take place at 3 p. m. in the Main Street Methodist Church.

Miss Lowe, O. G. Rody Jr. To Be Honored A dessert party honoring Miss Fannie Lowe and Ora G. Rody will be given: Saturday night Mrs.

Giles A. Lowe, mother of bride elect, and Mrs. Ora G. Rody mother of the bridegroom, the parlors of St. Luke's EUB Church.

The party will follow rehearsal at the church where the wedding will be solemnized at 2:30 p. Sunday. The guests will be seated at long organdy covered table ed with an arrangement of garden flowers. A music box in the form of a wedding will be playing "The Bridal Chorus" from "Lohengrim." The honored couple will be seated at the center of the table, surrounded by their, attendants whom they will present gifts: Miss Lowe's attendants will Miss Patsy Louise Kennedy, maid of honor and Miss Mary Frances Rody and Mrs. Floyd H.

Gerhart bridesmaids. They will given small pearl earrings and lace handkerchiefs to be carried at the wedding. Mr. Rody will present ties and cuff links to his best man, William Carelton Schwartz, and ushers, George Thanas of Anderson, Dick Elward of Fort Wayne, Don' Mygrant and Dan Bourff. The brideto-be and her fiance also will exchange gifts.

Members of the GAY JESTERS Club went to Highland Park for potluck supper Friday night, Miss Helen Ryan having charge of the affair. Mrs. Robert Hynds was remembered with a birthday gift from her secret pal. Following the supper, n.embers played miniature golf as Miss Ryan. The club.

will have, its next meeting July 27 at home of Mrs. Hynds. The afternoon was given over to sewing for Riley Hospital when members of the LOYAL BIRTHDAY Club met Friday in the Public Service Social Room. Mrs. Ed Morgan was awarded the attendance prize.

Serving as hostesses were Mrs. Katherine Higgins and Mrs. Anna Miller. The July meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Otto Bergman.

The GOOD FELLOWSHIP Class of Fairlawn UB Church met Highland Park Friday night for potluck supper. Sheridan Wagner and Mrs. Lewis Love had devotions and the Rev. Luke Martin discussed building plans with the group. In contests, winners were Mr.

Tea sandwiches were iced in Miss Hall's chosen colors of pink and white, and nut cups filled mints, repeated the two shades.

The garlands ended in medallions at either end of the table, the four corners of which were marked by nosegays of the chosen flowers and long streamers of blue and blue ribbons.

The retiring officers opened the meeting, during which Miss Graf was presented with a farewell gift of roses. Miss Mock was escorted by her father, James Mock, who robed and crowned her and presented her with a Bible. "An Old Fashioned Garden" was the theme carried out in the setting for the ceremonial room. Decorating the backdrop was the name "Judy," fashioned of garden roses.

Side curtains were fashioned of pictures of wishing wells, bird baths and sun dials and Miss Mock passed under a rose-covered arch Ito the altar. Her picture was a highlight in the west end of the Serving as escorts for the new queen were Judy Kessler, Sarah Trobaugh, Marilyn Quinnette, Sandra Smith, Saundra. Brackin, Elizabeth Simpson, Kay Kelly and Becky Shuss. With the conclusion of the ceremonies, the members, parents and friends went to the basement auditorium for a party honoring Miss Mock and the other new officers. The pink rose, her chosen flower, land silver, her chosen colors, prevailed in the setting there.

A portrait of Miss Mock, painted by Carol Shaffer and framed in pink roses, formed the backdrop. The greeting, "Best Wishes, Judy" sparkled from beneath the portrait. Centering the floor was a wishling well, entwined with roses and filled with gifts to the new honored queen. Arranged in a circle around the wishing well, the tables were decorated with pink candles in silver rosettes. The principal decoration for the long serving table was a cake bearing greetings to Miss Mock and pink roses.

Punch and, mints were further suggestive of the chosen colors. Sandra Wolf, Sandra Roe and Bonita Brock served as a committee on arrangements, with Sue DeCroes having charge of the upstairs decorations. They will make their home in New Haven, where Mr. Said will enter Berkeley Seminary in the fall. The bride is the former Miss Barbara Ann McCormack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Logon of Cincinnati.

No date 1 Bridal Party Is Entertained Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stack entertained with an after-rehearsal party Friday night to honor their daughter, Barbara, and her fiance, Richard L. Sosbe, whose marriage will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Main Street Methodist Church.

Miss Stack presented pearl necklaces to her attendants, Miss Janet Campbell, maid of honor; Miss Roseann Shimer and Miss Barbara Sosbe, bridesmaids, and to Miss Bonnie Yater who will sing at the wedding. Miss Cynthia Bauer and Miss Ruth Ann Clark, who will assist at the reception, were remembered with earrings. Mr. Sosbe presented his best man, Philip Paul, with a tie clasp and cuff links, and the ushers, James Knotts and James Craig, with cuff links. Other guests attending the party were the Rev.

Miss Calhoun, a teacher in -Kokomo High School. and her father, John H. Calhoun. who is retiring this month as an employe of Continental Steel plan to leave next week for a trip to the Hawaiian Islands. They will sail on the SS Lurline.

Crystal and silver service was used and the candles flanking the flowers were in silver sticks. Miss Gibson will have Miss Barbara French as maid of honor and Miss Joy Cross and Miss Anne Somers, bridesmaids, to whom presented silver bracelets. Miss. Sue King, junior bridesmaid Cheryl Schwartz, flower girls and nieces of the bridegroom-elect, were given single strands of pearls. Hotel Is Closed TAMPA, Fla. UP The historic DeSoto Hotel, where legend has it that Thomas Edison once had to spend the night on the floor because there was no room, closed Friday. It will be razed and the property used for a parking lot. The big wooden hotel has operated nearly balf' a century. Edison, the inventor, once visited there.

Begin and end with dry ingredients. Beat only until smooth. Pour carefully over plums. Bake in moderate (375 degrees) oven about 45 minutes or until cake tester inserted in ter comes out clean. Allow to stand about 5 minutes before turnout.
