at Indian River Center. Helen was born in Lynn, MA, and came to Brevard County in 1958. She was a member of the Seaside Poetry Club and Space Coast Poetry Club. She was known for writing poetry and playing piano. She was a veteran of the US Navy Yeoman Third Class during World War II.

She was the widow of Ernest J. Paine. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Quavillon of Satellite Beach, Diane Davidson of Palm Bay; son Ernie Paine of Tallahassee; six grandchildren, David, Matthew and Mark Quavillon, Joel, Lisa and Wendy Davidson; and one great grandson Ian Geffon. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care provided to Helen by the staff of the Grove at Indian River Center. Services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 5 PM at Florida Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Florida Memoral Gardens.

FLORENCE CANHAM BAREFOOT BAY Florence Adelaide Coxon Canham, 82, of Barefoot Bay, FL, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Palm Bay Hospital. Born in Red Rock, NY, Florence moved to Barefoot Bay from Pattersonville, NY in 1979. She was an ex-President of the Barefoot Bay Homeowners Association, and Immediate Past Treasurer and Board of Directors Member of the Micco Homeowners Association.

Florence is survived by five nephews; Clifford, George, and Michael Mastrangelo, and John and Paul Coxon; as well as one niece, Jo Anne Malatino. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 9:30 am at Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home, where arrangements are being handled. Donations may be made to Barefoot Bay Community Fund. MARTIN ENTRICHEL, SR. PALM BAY Martin Entrichel, 62, of Palm Bay, died Saturday June 11, 2005 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.

A native of Bratislavia, Slovakia, Mr Entrichel, Sr. was a US Army Master Sergeant, retiring with Special Forces having seen duty in Vietnam. He was a member of ABATE of Florida Independent Chapter, and American Legion Chapter and was active in the Florida Chapter XXI Special Forces Association. He was also active with the Fair Island Homeowner's Association and a member of DAV. Martin is survived by his wife Fanny Entrichel; daughter Anna Entrichel; son, Martin Entrichel, brother, Joseph Entrichel; sister, Zlata Horacek; and grand daughters Julianna, Trenadee, and Josee.

Friends will gather from 5 PM to 7 PM Tuesday June 14, 2005 at Palm Bay Funeral Home, 950 Malabar SE. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. Lovering was raised in Wentworth, New Hampshire, and graduated from Plymouth High School in Plymouth, New Hampshire, class of 1944. Mr. Lovering received secondary education at the University of New Hampshire from 1945-46, the University of Florida from 1953-56, and the University of Florida Law School from 1956-59. He received his J.D. in 1967 which replaced his LL.B.

conferred, 1959. He came to Brevard County in 1961. He worked as an attorney in private practice and was Wuesthoff Hospital's corporate counsel from 1961 to 1998. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1959, the Supreme Court of the United States in 1969, the Supreme Court of Florida in 1959, and the United States District Court, Middle District in 1963. He was a member of the Board of Directors for the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers from 1971 to 1974, a member of the American Academy of Hospital Attorneys, president of the American Cancer Society County Chapter from 1961-62, and served on the Board of Directors for the Brevard County Bar Association from 1965-73.

Mr. Lovering was also the president of Circles of Care from 1970-71, and on the Board of Directors for Circles of Care from 1967-72, he served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Bar Association from 1968-72, and also served as Vice Chairman for the State Advisory Council of the Division of Community Hospitals and Medical Facilities of the State of Florida, Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services from 1971-77. Lastly, he was a member of the University of Florida Alumni, County Chapter in 1962. He is survived by his sister Lola Trimble of Cocoa; four nephews, three nieces; legal secretary and longtime friend Belinda Wetherington, her two daughters, and many friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 15, 2005 from 5-7 PM at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home.

Arrangements by Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. JOYCE HICKS COCOA BEACH Joyce Ann Hicks, 59, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2005 at Cape Canaveral Hospital. Mrs.

Hicks was born in Knox County, TN and has lived in Brevard County since 1958, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Merritt Island, and was also a Red Cross disaster volunteer. Her survivors include her husband of 36 years, Jimmie R. Hicks; her daughters, Janice White of Port St. John, Jenny Hicks of Cape Canaveral; her sister Ruth Ellis of Rockledge; her grandchildren, Jordan White, Brandon White, Collin Hicks, Peyton Flanagan, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother William Nelson Raby, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday at Wylie-Baxley Rockledge Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2pm on Friday, June 17. Interment will follow in Florida Memorial Gardens. DONALD BUCHANAN TITUSVILLE Donald D. Buchanan passed Monday 13,2005 at age of 82. He was in Macon, GA family moved to Lynchburg, VA when he was six months old.

He entered the Army Air Corp in 1941 and served until the war was over. In 1945, he married Jean Peters and entered the University of Virginia. He began his career in 1949 with the National Advisory Committee for Aeronauticsafter graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1956 he joined the Army Ballistic 1 Missile Agency at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama and was responsible for the design and development of launching equipment and facilities for missiles and space vehicles. In July of 1960 he transferred to NASA and continued responsibilities for the design and development of the Saturn 1 and 1B launchers, Umbilical Towers, Deflectors, Hold Down Arms, Transporters, Erection and Handling Equipment at Kennedy Space Center.

In July 1965 he transferred to Kennedy Space Center and was given the task of over-seeing the design and development of the launch facilities at Launch Complex 39 where the Saturn 5 took men to the moon, and where the Space Shuttle is currently launched. He served as Chief Design Engineer from 1967 until his retirement in 1981. From 1981 until 1987 he was a launch facilities consultant for several large aerospace companies.He was twice awarded the NASA Exceptional Service Medal; The Distinguished Service Medal (NASA's highest award), The Medal for Exceptional EngineeringAchievement, and numerous NASA Group Awards. In 1969 he was awarded the Royal Automobile Club's Diamond Jubilee Trophy, the world's premier automotive transport honor for the design, development and construction of the CrawlerTransporter. In 1995 the National Space foundation presented him with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

He was passionate about golf, woodworking and genealogy. He was past President and Treasurer of Brevard Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Donald is preceded in death by his son Michael, and is survived by his wife Jean of 59 years; his daughters, Suellen Chandler of Pebble Beach, CA, and Joanne Scully of Lakewood, WA; daughter in law, Barbara Solow of Ft.Collins, CO; son, Lee Buchanan of Titusville; and five grandchildren. His family has lost a good husband and father, and the world has lost a great man. Family will receive friends at the North Brevard Funeral Home Wednesday, June 15, 2005 between 6 PM and 8 PM.

The memorial service will be at Park Avenue Baptist Church Thursday June 16, 2005 at 2 PM. S. Brevard and 772-562-1771 in Indian River Co. Dorothy Anne was born in Kissimmee, FL, April 7, 1914 to Hiram and Grace Myers. She married Orvel Cox in 1932 after graduating from Osceola High School. They had four children: Faye, Joann June, and Leland.

Orvel died August 19, 1957. In 1965 she married Frank Heider who died in August of 1996. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend affectionately known to family as D-Mom. She had a keen sense of humor and wit in creative writing, which she would write poems as original birthday cards for family members. She enjoyed outdoor and nature activities that included duck hunting and fishing.

Her other interests were working in her yard, making stained-glass creations, bowling, going to the beach, and traveling even white water rafting. She was a devoted Christian since she was a teenager, and taught children in Sunday school for over 70 years. She was active in the Women's groups in both Baptist and Presbyterian churches and enjoyed teaching in these groups. She is survived by children, Faye and Jack Shaw, Jodi and Chuck Hamilton, June and John Wigley, and Leland and Ronnie Cox. Her 12 grandchildren are Scott Pendergrass, Vikki Jo Dean, Jay Shaw, Joe Shaw, Kim King, Mark Wigley, Brett Wigley, Kelly Wiener, Chris Wigley, David Wigley, Justin and Kaci Cox.

Her 17 great-grandchildren are Brandon and Dailey Jo Dean, Clayton and Chelsea Pendergrass, Jake Shaw, Jordan and Jonah Shaw, Nikki and Colton King, Erica, Kevin, and J.J. Wrigley, Clara and Joseph Wrigley, Jackson and Carson Wiener, Autumn Wrigley; nephew Ashley Myers; niece Wine Myers; and her close friend and devoted caregiver for over 5 years, Shirley Holbrook. Grandson Les Pendergrass died June 1995. She will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends. A memorial service will be at Wylie Baxley Funeral Home in Rockledge on Wednesday June 15, 2005 at 10:30 AM.

There be no viewing, but the family will meet friends immediately after the service. Burial is private at Pinecrest Cemetery. REX BYRD SANFORD DOROTHY HEIDER COCOA TITUSVILLE Wayne Austin Fleeger, 87, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2005. Wayne was born in Chicora, Pennsylvania on July 25, 1917 to Charles and Louella Kelly Fleeger.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara (John) Sager of Titusville; his son Thomas (Lynn) of Omaha, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Scott Sager, Kathryn Sager Meredith, Matt Fleeger, Tim Fleeger, and Kate Fleeger; and one greatgrandson, Jack Sager. Wayne was preceded in death by Grayce, his wife of 63 years; his son Wayne Robert; his parents; two brothers and two sisters. Wayne served in the US Army during World War II. After the war, he returned to Pennsylvania where he began working for a car dealer, eventually owning Fleeger Chevrolet-Oldsmobile in Slippery Rock, PA. Following his retirement, Wayne and Grayce spent winters in their home in Pine Island, FL for several years, moving to Titusville permanently in 1992.

Wayne was a member of IRC United Methodist Church and also attended St. Luke's Presbyterian Church. He loved the Lord and his family. He was a kind, gentle, and honest man. The family would like to thank the following people for their loving care and support: the staff of Sand Point Senior Living, the staff of Autumn House, the staff of Huntington Place, and the staff of Visiting Angels.

JEANNE PRICE MELBOURNE Jeanne B. Price, 91, died Sunday, June 12, 2005. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, she had lived in Brevard County for the last 34 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Col. Harold G. Price and daughter, Shirlee Ann Price. Jeanne is survived by her son, David Price of Columbus, Ohio, and grandson Alexis Beeth of New York City. Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m.

FRANK DETZER PALM BAY Frank Rudolf Detzer, 69, of Palm Bay, passed away Friday, June 10, 2005. Born in Munich, Germany, Mr. Detzer moved to the United States in 1949. Frank retired in 1974 from the United States Marine Corp as a Master Sergeant, having served 2 tours in Vietnam. He received the Navy Achievement Medal, Vietnam Vietnamese Service Campaign Medal, 7 good conduct ribbons, and a Presidential Unit Citation.

He was employed at Northrop Grumman as a security officer for 12 years. He was a member of DAV and VFW and a Mason. He loved golf and was a model train hobbyist. Frank was well loved by relatives and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Marie Detzer; children Cathy Kandiko and Debbie (Kenny) Reece; grandchildren Ashley, Kaicee, Alyssa, and Dalton; cousin Sepp (Christa) Eckl; and many inlaws, nieces and nephews.
