Vincent Iocco, 44, who up police work to become a priest, was lound dead tnday at me rectory of St.

Father Iocco worked on the Philadelphia police force for about 14 years before resigning in the late 1980s to complete his seminary studies. He was ordained in 1992. Mitchell Fenimore, 82, who left the real-estate business for education in a midlife career change and then made a difference for students in the Norristown Area School District, died Saturday at his home in Lansdale. Norristown was his hometown and the site of his alma mater.

He was born there and graduated from the high school in 1933. He earned a bachelor's degree from Ur-sinus College in 1937 and a master's degree from Temple University. He served in the Merchant Marines in the Atlantic during World War II. After working in real estate, Mr. Fenimore joined the Norristown school system about 1960, first as a business teacher at the junior high school, then as a guidance counselor, then serving as principal at Stewart Middle School until retiring in 1980.

Waston was an industrial designer and a pioneer in the field of fiberglass reinforced plastics as well as in the use of acrylics for light transmission. He was President of Seavlew Plastic, Inc. builders of large radar structures. He held several patents. On retirement, Mr.

Watson spent several years exploring the East Coast with his wife and a cat on their diesel vessel "Islander" and settled in White Stone, VA where he served as town planning chairman. He was an authority on old automobiles. New York Musical Theatre, geography and proper use of the English language. He was also founder of the Antedeluvian Society of Northern Neck and a member of Grace Church In Kilmarnock. He Is survived by his beloved wife, the former Dorothy Clay, five children, 18 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Father Iocco studied at St. Mary's Seminary and the University of Baltimore, completed a master of divinity program at Immaculate Conception Seminary in South Orange, N.J., and held a master's in theology from Seton Hall University, also in South Orange.

The officer studied English in college and was known for his "50-cent words," said Charles Scanzello, Father Iocco's partner on the police force for about four years. "Vince was always into helping people, and he had a great command of the English language. Every time we locked somebody up, Vince would be preaching to them about the evil of drugs," Scanzello recalled. "He was always at a crossroads: a preacher or a cop. His whole life revolved around doing some type of service." The two officers worked as narcotics investigators.

Scanzello recalled that early one Sunday morning, they were at 22d and Diamond on an investigation when "somebody started shooting at us from the high-rise, and Vince says to me, 'You know Charlie, I could be serving Mass right Father Iocco was associate pastor at St. Peter's, but on the day of his death was to have moved to a new assignment at St. John the Beloved as a principal for being "very fair and evenhanded." He enjoyed playing tennis until ill health forced him to give up the game just a couple of years ago. He was an accomplished cook, but was best known among family and friends for his love of music and the fact that he played a baritone ukulele. At family gatherings, Mr.

Fenimore would lead all assembled in old standards and folk songs, playing the uke while others sang and played various instruments. He is survived by his wife, the former Jane Holliday; a son, William; daughters Jessica Roberts, Laura Fox and Katherine Wolf; six grandsons; and two sisters. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Telford.

Dobson Hinkle, who died March Harriett Hinkle 21. She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Vail Garvin of Warminster; a son, Paul Pryor of Langhorne; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the William Rowen Grant Funeral Home in Southampton.

A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Philadelphia Motherhouse in 1927. She returned to the hospital as director from 1934 to 1940. Sister Ebert was one of the first Lutheran sisters to forgo traditional religious garb, including a bonnet, electing to wear street clothes in the 1960s, Sister Frost said yesterday.

"She was a woman way, way ahead of her time." After her retirement in 1968, Sister Ebert moved to Brooklyn and organized a neighborhood education and counseling program. Even after returning to Gladwyne, she continued to teach, often volunteering to translate correspondence from motherhouses in Germany. Sister Ebert is survived by a sister, Helen Stanley of Allentown. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Narberth.

Bu'al will follow at Fernwood Cemetei'y. I La. Harriett Vail Hinkle, 69, retired nursing home administrator Harriett Vail Hinkle, a retired nursing home administrator, died Saturday at Manor Care Health Services in King of Prussia. Mrs. Hinkle would have celebrated her 70th birthday next week.

Mrs. Hinkle was a longtime resident of Warminster, Bucks County, and more recently lived in North Fort Myers, Fla. She was born in Springfield, Ohio. She was a graduate of Trenton State College and the Englewood (N.J.) School of Nursing. She was a lieutenant in the Army Nursing Corps during World War II.

During her career, she was administrator at Langhorne Gardens Nursing Home and at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home. She also was a former vice president of American Medical Affiliates, in charge of nursing. Mrs. Hinkle was a fellow of the Sister Anna Katherine Ebert, 96, longtime leader of Motherhouse By Susan Q. Stranahan INQUIRER STAFF WRITER Sister Anna Katherine Ebert, who led the Philadelphia Motherhouse of the Lutheran Church from 1930 to 1962 and served as the first woman president of the World Federation of Diaconal Associations, died Saturday at Deaconess Center in Gladwyne.

She was 96. "She was a real historic figure in our community," and an inspiration to many in the religious and sectarian circles in which she worked, said Sister Nora Frost, current director of the Motherhouse, also in Gladwyne. graduate of Keystone Slate Normal School (now Kutztown University) in 1919, Sister Ebert taught school for two years before entering religious life. She obtained a nursing (degree from Lankenafi Hospital before becoming deaconess of the.
