Samuel Leroy Slover, 86, chairman of the board of Norfolk-Portsmouth Newspapers, and a prominent figure in journalism for 55 years, at Norfolk, Va. The corporation Mr.

Slover headed publishes the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot and the Ncrfolk-Led-ger-Dispatch Star. Mrs. Lillian Edwards, 75, widow of song writer Gus Edwards, at Los Angeles. Mrs. Edwards was famous in her own right as "mother" of many of the personalities her husband discovered, including st.
