1, Godfrey, died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony's Hospital after a short illness. She was born In Alton Sept. 2, 1918 and married John R.

Hartley Dec. 28, 1936 In Alton. Mrs. Hartley' was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latterday Saints in Godfrey. Surviving are her husband, John; six daughters, Mrs.

Dorothy M. Butler of Fosterburg, Mrs. Mary Jane Fleming of Alton, Mrs. Lillian Baruxen of Alton, Mrs. Nancy E.

Yoakum of Wood Misses Sally Jean and Wilma Loulse Hartley, both at home; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Janette Hamilton of Alton Friends may call 9 p.m. Thursday at Streeper Funeral Home, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday with Tom Gill of Godfrey officiating. Burial will be in Rosclawn Memory Gardens, Bethalto.

Reed Mrs. Judith Reed, 28, was found dead Tuesday at her home at 460 Maple Drive, She wsa born on Feb. 10, She was born on Feb. 10, 1944 in East St. Louis, a daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Herman Butcher of Caholia. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Clifford Reed; two sons, Jeffery Wild and Timmy Wild, both at home; a daughter, Miss Donna Reed, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Terry (Deborah) Morris of Fairview Heights and a brother, Thomas Herman Butcher of Granite City. Mrs.

Reed was a member of the Maplewood Church of Christ in Cahokia. The pastor of the church, Jim Gibbs, will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Kassly. Cahokia Mortuary, 1201 Camp Jackson Road, Rte. 157 in Cahokia.

Burial will be in Valhalla Burial Park, Belleville. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Foster EWARDSVILLE Mrs. Caroline Modene Foster, 79, of Sunset Glen Carbon, died at 8:15 a.m.

Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland. Born Aug. 30, 1893 at St. Louis, a daughter of the late Edward and Augusta Berg Modene, she was married ta John R.

Foster, who died in 1915. Surviving is a son, John E. Foster of Glen Carbon, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother, Charles Modene of Troy, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Evans of Glen Carbon.

She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Glen Carbon and a member of the church episcopal women's group. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today until CO a.m. STREEPER Funeral Home 1620 WASHINGTON Riddlespriger Mrs.

Vera Riddlespriger, 73, 1380 Easton Altou, was pronounced dead on arrival at 1.p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was in Arkansas on April 26, 1899 and married McKinley Riddlespriger on Dec. 1, 1919 in Atkins, Ark.

She had attended schools in Arkansas. Mrs. Riddlespriger was a mother of the Church of God in Christ on Gross St. Surviving are her husband, McKinley; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Williams of Chicago, Mrs.

Merle Wade, Mrs. Velma Bruce, Mrs. Many Mack and Miss Gretta Riddlesprigor, all of Alton, four sons, David of Angeles, James, McKinley Jr. and Irvin, all of Alton; 34 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Reese of Memphis, Tenn. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m.

Friday at the Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oakwood Avenue Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Jesse Keys officiating. Burial will be in Upper Alton Cemetery.

Perkinson Clinton E. Perkinson. 73. of Rte. 1, Jerseyville, died at 11 p.m.

Tuesday at his home where he had lived for 20 years. Mr. Perkinson was a meat packer for Luer Brothers Packing Co. for 33 years until he retired. He was born Dec.

18, 1898 in Alton. Surviving are his twin brother, Raymond of Jerseyville, and a brother, Zeke, of Kampsville; two sisters. Mrs. Sadie Fritz of Alton and Mrs. Effic Junette of Jerseyville.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.in. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Staten Funeral Home where a prayer. service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.

A funeral mass will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholle Church and burial will be in Alton City Cemetery. Saxby 0. Earl Saxby, of 13411 5th Grandview, father of Mrs.

Duard (Dorothy Jean) Ward of Alton, died Monday at the Research Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. He was born in Litchfield April 21, 1892. Also surviving are a son, Donald B. of Rosiclare, a stepson, John Raeder of Kansas City, a grandson whom he raised, Jerry Eggs and poultry at St. Louis ST.
